  • Only four stations broadcast on 94,2 in northern Greece, and they are:

Lydia I Filipissia (20 KW, Hortiatis)

Lydia I Filipissia (rebroadcast) (1KW, Kagias Serres)

Play FM (5 KW, Ypsarion Thasos)

Play FM (rebroadcast) (1 KW, Plaka, Alexandroupolis)

    Kastoria Church (1 KW, Kastoria)

Servia Municipal Radio (1 KW, Servia Kozani)

Maybe it was an old station or it broadcasts from southern Greece!

  • To be honest, the only Ihorama station I know is from Plaka, Alexandroupolis but it's on 107.1!

Veroia cannot have a station on 94.2 apart from Lydia i filipissia which broadcasts from Hortiatis on 94,2 with a very powerful 20KW transmitter, covering Veroia very well!

  • Amazing!

Do you think it is tropo?

This station is very prone to e-skip as well, as it is received every year during this time in Northwestern Europe!

  • Hi,

I don't think it's tropo at all... I think it's just "regular" reception. The distance is not that huge, it's around 250 km. By the way, a few years ago there was a radio called Ihorama from the same town broadcasting on 94,2 and I was able to receive it at home in Sofia itself with an INDOOR antenna! That was tropo for sure, but it was quite regular, let's say from may to november I was able to hear it nearly non-stop even though the signal was quite unstable...

  • I don't know why but I stopped receiving this station in 2007 and then last year radio Belgrade launched a nearby transmitter on 94,2 so now it's impossible to hear Ihorama in Sofia any more.
