I notice in these old clips how often John cracked Paul up. "They go to a company and get shown into the waste-paper bin" John is just whip smart. Interviewer: "is he on the level?" John: "I don't know what level he's on"
I made a video cover of "Someone Like You - Adele". I would greatly appreciate if you saw my video. I would be very happy. If you see, give me a feedback please. Thank you! ---> /watch?v=vREs4XiyjR4
My heart dropped when assassination was brought up.... I only wish at 6:56 the reporter didn't cut off what John said... "assassination is..." We will never know his thoughts on the matter... :'C R.I.P
the Beatles wernt men, they wernt musicians, they wernt famous, they wher your older brothers. John was the jerk who would always be cooler than you, but once and a while he'd persuade mum into letting him take you out on the town at night. George was the clever, distant one who knocked on your bedroom door for your headphones. Ringo told you your first dumb pick up line and played drums up stairs and kept you up all night. Paul was the one you hugged.
@general18089 You don't know anything about The Beatles besides the caricatures made by their movies. John Lennon gave a wonderful interview about people who thought of The Beatles in the way you do and he explained how misrepresented each one of them was. You should reconsider your analogy.
john lennon was always so quick witted after his deportation hearing in NYC when asked by first reporter a simple question john said " time wounds all heals " I remember getting on the school bus 10 grade and hearing Lennon was murdered in front of his home I cried along with many others. The Death of my Hero Elvis affected me the same way I had just seen him in june I think with my Aunt who was more like a mother Indy 1977 I think I was 14 She had seen him many times sung his heart out always
"yea we just got a friend of ours whos in electronics. ill tell you about this jim. he was called alex. and hes great hes a great fellow. hes invented incredible things. so, uh, thatll be big." -Paul McCartney.
Lorne Michaels (producer of Saturday Night Live) approached his audience with an address to the Beatles. He said the producers of SNL were prepared to write the Beatles a five thousand dollar check if they agreed to perform a few songs. The joke being - why would the Beatles even bother for five thousand dollars. John and Paul were watching that episode and thought it would be funny to take them up on that offer. If they had, it would have been their last live performance.
Worst interviewer ever. The guy could make any conversation fall flat like a lead balloon. How did he ever get into that line of work? John and Paul are trying their best to do his job for him here.
My gut feeling is that the Beatles would've put out an album in the mid-80's, long about the time of the "When We Was Fab" kick, and in 1990 would embrace the inevitability of their Beatleness, to work together fulltime, like the Stones. What awesomeness did we miss? We can't know.
I read about what they're talking about here, in the Schaffer book, They got so many submissions, they couldn't screen them all, so had to chuck them. Ironic.
9:06- 9:16 : John looks at Faul very peculiar while Faul seems very unrelated to the past moment that John was referring to in France and Faul replies weirdly: "That's what happened, that's what happened" and John with a look of hate and pain on his face says: "It was just sort of getting a foot-hold in the market, but not getting your whole head right in sort of way". Yeah. Also look at Faul's hair part. It's on his right side of his head hear when he from a child and up to 1966, was his left.
@SaintJorge304 you can tell that John has no respect towards him and its supposed to be his best friend. I know Paul died. When I was weird I could never tell Pauls voice, thats cuz it was different. When i watched Paul is Dead dvd it blew my mind. I listend and looked at everything. theres only one conclusion. RIP Paul, it says it in Magical Mystery tour booklet. Also look at a clear as day picture of faul in that booklet
Paul died yeard ago man, his soul is not in the same place as it was in the 60's during his time with the Beatles. Its like he forgot all he learnt about the world and the universe through making music, and taking lsd and smoking pot, and making music (yes said it again)...if only Paul could see what he left behind
@1dominic1000 MIKE MCCARTNEY (PAUL'S BROTHER) SAID: "MY BROTHER PAUL IS ALIVE. I DON'T KNOW WHY THOSE FREAKS BELIVE IN THAT FAKE MYTH". YOU AREN'T BEATLEFAN.
@1dominic1000 he hasnt smked pot for a long time and hes older now hes 70 he just needs to settle down abit now he physically can not manage much more he goes on a few tours but not much because he cant he needs to settle down hes done his fair share of good music now its someone elses turn now
@nintend0productions2 The Beatles are the best band of all time. Im just telling you that Paul died after Help album and was replaced by the fool or should i say Faul in this video. Look it John despises this guy. He is an idiot. He sings bad and has plastic surgery. Look into it yourself. RIP PAUL
@childintime12 och really ????????? idiot it was lennon , !!!!!!!!!!!and idiot maybe is you , so consists that Paul is thousand times normal , than lennon , lennon was totaly freak !!!!!!!! Faul you !!!!!!!!!!and RIP LENNON !!!!!!!!!, and such is the fackt , faul for you , and RIPLENNON , Paul always be one of the most important artist in music history and you are ordinary gray man ,which does not grow him to heel !!
they are immortal man. they will (and have) liived on forever through their music, their art, the way they (especially George and John) presented themselves to the world and the reasons they did. The Beatles , and every other great artist (Jimi FKN Hendrix for example) are immortal... their soul, their essence lives on forever by what they left behind (aka music and art). In the words of John and it is still true to this day: The Beatles are bigger than Jesus.
@childintime12 Why is there this arguing about John and Paul? If you don't like the Beatles, get off a Beatles video. Paul's singing in Oh! Darling is brilliant, actually.
@childintime12 That's a real rock voice. You are missing the point completely. As I said, if you don't like the Beatles, stop commenting on a Beatles video because you're going to face alot of opposition.
@HTprods No its bad. Listen to Paul before 1965 and then after 1966. ALl of sudden Ringo became a better dsinger than him. ALso watch this interview he acts like an idiot and John does not respect him. If you knew anything then you would know Paul was cool but now he isnt. RIP PAUL
I'm trying to figure out who's the asshole here. I think it might be John. But fuck Larry. I don't know. Paul seems kind of opinionated. BABY YOU CAN DRIVE MY CAR!
@childintime12 you is totaly moron , it lennon is dead , not Paul ,Paul is life !!!!!!!so stop fucking !stop fucking all the quit ,!!!!!!! idiots !!!!!!
7:55-8:11 when The Beatles were together Reporters would ask them "hey you ever think about going out on your own and braking up" and when they Broke up the question was always "When are the Beatles getting back together?" fuck man you can't please the media
I always wonder if Paul is going to wake up one morning and go WHAT THE FUCK I'M PAUL McCARTNEY , because in all the years he's been a super star he has never let it go to his head .
John comes off as really annoying because he refused be serious no matter what question is asked and he hogs the conversation, constantly cutting off Paul and interrupting him. I felt like saying "come on, John to knock it off". John could be a jerk at times.
@TaserTracks It's because the interviewer was such a conservative, staid individual and John was impatient with him. But yeah, John could be wonderful and awful, sweet and sour, direct and evasive, mellow and violent, yin & yang.
I want to spam 'I love you I love you I love you I love you' but no one will ever understand how much I love them anyways. (Even though there are people who love them just as much as I do, it's so weird.) When Paul winks at the camera, and John's laughter after that... I can't do anything else but cry. How can some people be so amazing!?
Does anybody out there have the 1968 David Frost Interview/ Paul Hosting the Show ? I saw it as a child when it aired but never online. I only found one reference to it in the David Frost Archives. And it's not the Beatles Performing Hey Jude either, it was Paul alone in a Sweater talking to Guest..., In Color.
This clip makes clearer the intensity behind John's statement at time of break-up when he said, "I want a divorce." And although he, ay have wanted a change, I still don't think he meant it.
Significant about this interview it was John's last Pre-Yoko moment , a month later they hooked up and he changed for good

6:49 - 7:07... eerie.. but then, so was Lennon's, "Free As A Bird." Miss him. Miss them together.

Why didn't they just say, "WE HAVE TO MAKE THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THE CUNTS IN PARLIAMENT WILL TAKE ALL OUR MONEY." and be done with it?
