This song is so amazing, nobody compares to dallas, but what does this song mean to him ? as abit of a music and dallas adict i love to know everything about songs and why they were made .

i get the fact that it mean what you want it to mean, and this song means to me realiseing that you wont sleep and maybe then you could hope for more better, but i really want to to know what it means to dallas :)

Actually I don'z know if this is really what it means to Dallas, but the lyrics are his direct thoughts, and so I think it means to him that he'd rather be conscious and actually wants to feel what he goes through (no sleeping at night etc), instead of starting to drink away his sorrow and becoming numb and dead inside because of drinking. He wants to stay strong, though it could be so much easier with alcohol.

he has troubles sleeping he has stated that numerous times in many interviews. This song is just saying that sometimes it would be easier to live like an alcoholic and use the drink to drown his sorrows and the things that keep him awake at night... hes ultimately saying his lack of sleeping and his nerves will be the death of him.

To the comment that he "is" alexisonfire (I hope I'm not misinterpreting it... it seems it may have been intended to mean he is in alexisonfire). Alexisonfire is a cyclone of diferent styles spinning together -george, wade, and dallas' vocal styles are all different but important to the sound equally. They seem very balanced between their different talents and styles.

If you didn't insist on being so ignorant, you'd actually listen to more than a few songs and discover that although some of his strumming styles sound similar, considering it IS his style, none of his songs sound exactly the same. All artists have similarities in their songs, consdering they were all written by the same person. If an artist has songs that are always near opposites, they probably don't write their songs.
