We're so happy you wrote! We're blessed at our church to have a young transgender man whose first venture out into the world as himself was to come to church. Truthfully, I don't think any of us really clocked him as a transgender man for a few weeks, and when we did, mostly as a result of him sharing his story with us, we were delighted to get to know him. I don't think of him as trans. He's just a guy. There are people out there waiting to meet the guy you are. Mom can't rule your heart.
Of course we will be your grandparents. You will need to run away from home occasionally, and we'll make tea and scones for you and hide you upstairs. We'll give you books to read. There are some wonderful accounts of lesbians in Paris in the 20s that you shouldn't pass up. Good for lesbians and gay boys as well! We'll deny to your parents that you are hiding out.
My Christian sister thinks I'm the cruelest person alive for being transgender female to male. She refuses to call me anything but by my female name and pronouns. I was so confused and one of the things that helped me to come out was speaking to an older gay couple who had been together for over 25 years. The ex-gay ministry had told me that there was no such thing as a long term gay relationship. Seeing couples like you really gives hope to younger people that they can look forward to spending a life with someone they love. Thanks so much for sharing!!!

It's funny. I've been watching these videos and hearing all of this good news and I knew it already and hearing all of this bad news that I hadn't been fully aware of.
It adds up and adds up and at a certain point it begins to feel as if gay teenagers are truly heroic towering figures just for having the patience to wake up and go to school in the morning and hang out with those homophobic idiots.
There are heroes among us, and we didn't even know.
I'm muslim and support gay rights, as a result i've been involved in heated debates. My response is simple: there's no way God would abstain love; there's no way God would be mad at someone for loving someone else. In fact I believe God would be mad or saddened by those who did not express love because of the recipents sex. In the future we'll be laughed at; they'll say - "societies were against people for loving truly". Anyway, i'm always happy to see a man of God being real. God bless you boys

@ACE7Drew I've been looking around for support for you. It's difficult, because it's hard to know sometimes how safe support sites are or groups. The one that seems like a good place to start is hwww . al-fatiha . org/. That seems really genuine to me and I've found articles in other places supporting that. I know from friends who have visited Arab/Muslim countries that there are always connecting places, but that's about as much as I know.

how do you reconcile being or accepting gays with christianity? I am a supporter of gay rights, womens rights, having fun, etc but i find so many of my personal beliefs don't align with what many christians want me to believe. I believe God sees all of us as equals and loves us all, but so many "christians" spread hate. I want to find a community where people the way I do, but I haven't been that lucky yet.

Why did you say not to watch the Kiss, Is it not in your heart, it's not right. Be honest about Gay lifestyles, kids need help with problems. i'm transgender. grew up scary methodist where gay was evil. parents and sister became episcopalian when i went to college. met my wife (15 years ago) who is jewish. i eventually became jewish of my own accord. she is in her 4th year out of 5 at the reform jewish seminary studying to be a rabbi. we can both say with total confidence that reform rabbis (which includes women and LGBTQ people) can be trusted confidants, pastors and resources for LGBTQ jewish youth. you both are delightful! be well.

Perhaps some of them will also find their way from the dark side of Christianity to the gentle light of Shabbas with chosen families and chosen faith practices that are, indeed, based on the God of Love, and to the brightness of the Sabbath and her God. Remember: Reform Judaism.

I love these two guys - I wish they were my neighbors so I could visit with them every day. Fantastic. I watched their whole video with the biggest dorkiest grin on my face and a bit of a tear, too. Thanks for speaking to our LGBT kids.

This video is so cool :) I have never experienced something as difficult as you have, I am not gay, but I still know no one should ever be afraid to be what they are! I am so glad that my parents taught me to accept and respect everyone and that love is the most important thing in life. And I am extremely happy for everyone that finds love, or just peace in life. Accepting yourself is hard enough without everyone else making it harder for you

Why did you say not to watch the Kiss, Is it not in your heart, it's not right. Be honest about Gay lifestyles, kids need help with problems. We are failing our children by not teaching good values, like to not bully other children or tease people diferent, but more importantly, by telling the truth, not denying truth. It does far more damage to lie to spare feeling than to be honest, and its usually the one lying that's sparing feelings, his own. We need the real truth to dispel dispair, God's!

i'm transgender. grew up scary methodist where gay was evil. parents and sister became episcopalian when i went to college. met my wife (15 years ago) who is jewish. i eventually became jewish of my own accord. she is in her 4th year out of 5 at the reform jewish seminary studying to be a rabbi. we can both say with total confidence that reform rabbis (which includes women and LGBTQ people) can be trusted confidants, pastors and resources for LGBTQ jewish youth. you both are delightful! be well.

...and another thing ,if we have separation of Church and state...then why can't gays get married in the U.S.? Because some Churches don't want in to happen dosen't mean the States can't allow same sex marriage. A marriage license is issued by the Government not the Church,thus not the Church's business. Maybe the Governement is just as guilty as the haters for making a big deal about same sex marriage.

As long as the mortality tax keeps up with the birth rate well, it is fine by me...
Meaning: I CERTAINLY would not back up the idea of a 100% gay world, we would all go to hell for that just for the reproduction issue... But, the gay people that there is now... Well, it does not seem to have affected us in any way, so, yeah, who cares except homophobics... You do that...
