  • saw him at my hotel today. wish he could be my coach and make my swing look like hunter mahans

  • stack n tilt much

  • awesome swing as a coach! but he should not praise R Rock better than T Woods in front of Woods.

  • that ball went left 100%

  • Nice hip sway. At least he doesn't teach his students that garbage.

  • that ball hooked no doubt about it

  • pretty strong grip hes got goin on

  • Foley is a Mac O Grady disciple..teachers and coaches in all sports are disciples of some form or another from someone that came before them. look at great footbal and basketball coaches today..nobody can reinvent golf..it's just recycled. Pretentious?? So with that logic..Belichik should have been a hall of fame player and Jordan should be the greatest coach?? There is a difference between teaching/coaching and playing. Good luck taking a good lesson from a tour player idiot.

  • @davidvpga @davidvpga Ok, is or has Belichick ever been good enough PHYSICALLY to play in the NFL? Did he have the size, speed, and strength to be able to use what he knows mentally on the field? No...... So you're comparison is dumb and you missed the whole point. Not to mention that Belichick coaches strategy and not throwing motion. So it's completely different teaching golf in that regard too. Basically you're way way off and not smart enough to evaluate the situation.

  • @smithersandburns The point is....if a person has the physically capabilities of Lumpy Herron or fucking Craig Stadler.....(which almost everyone does) then the only thing holding them back is the mental ability to know how to perform a swing that works. That is what golf pros try to teach. So if you are teaching it, but can't do it yourself, then you really don't know that much. You are operating under false pretenses aka pretentious.

  • @smithersandburns The only reason great players usually can't teach is because what the know is subconscious so they can't explain it. However they still know it, just not consciously. But my point is some pretentious teaching pro who can't perform, he should not be taken very seriously. Hey you got some ideas, cool man, so does everybody. But if your ideas were really that legit you'd be a way better player. On tour at some point at least.

  • Well, his swing is definitely better than Harmon's or Haney's. After that who cares. Does anyone even know what he's trying to get Woods to do? They sure haven't said so.

  • That's it. I'm taking up this swing today just so I can start wearing visors.

  • I am guessing he can break 80 with that swing!!

  • so any time a teacher tells there student to load there weight on to their back foot they to are ripping off some other guys philosophy right? I think theres just a lot of tiger hate..moe norman rules!!!

  • @yakbills Yes. As a matter of fact they are. That's why when they say that piece of advice, they shouldn't say it like it's a new discovery and they just cured cancer. You know, like Foley says....everything....

  • Is this stack and tilt or what?

  • Woods needs to go back to the Harmons

  • he has ripped off Mike and andy and has come with NOTHING new!

All of this was ripped off from Mac OGrady!!!

  • @BritschgiT And all of those people are crazy snake oil salesman who don't know enough about the golf swing to make it on tour. So Foley is like a third handed hack teacher.

These people have all been able bodied and claim to know so much about how to play golf, yet they can't make the tour. Hmm, sounds like a bunch of pretentious bullshit.

  • @smithersandburns why don't you find ex-tour player as a teacher

  • @highballguru If they are consciously aware of what they do and can explain it to me I'd love to.

  • Woods is working with Craig Harmon

  • Great swing...

  • Sean Foley is not employing the Stack and Tilt golf swing in this video. He is doing a true one-piece connected takeaway just like Hogan, Nicklaus and Snead did.

  • Fucking retarded comments about using hands to hit a ball. Foley's swing is great imo, no timing at all.

  • @eag1esh Everybody's swing has timing stupid. You're clueless. No offense. haha.

  • This swing sucks, it looks forced on the shoulders and back and leaves little use for the hands. Its a girl swing suited for their frame, no for male player with broad shoulders

  • @Gyro911 It's not for everyone, but it allows a guy like wi to make a living on tour.

  • This guys terribly sensitive about criticism, to the point of being a dick. As a PGA Club Professional myself, everybody has different thoughts about how the club should be swung. To hammer Hank Haney, Brandel Chamblee, etc. is really uncalled for.

  • @ahafan64 To be fair Haney and Chamblee are also huge douches who can't take criticisms themselves and talk completely out of their ass.

  • @1tontomato my Jerry Barber sand wedge just got taken out of my bag. Great player though.

  • I think the GM is much better swing method. S&T is nothing new, a golfer by the name of Jerry Barber was doing it in the 50-60's, although he didn't call it S&T.

Keeping your head and spine perfectly still can result in injuries, I don't suggest anybody swing like that.

  • @1tontomato The head and spine do NOT stay perfectly still in the S&T. You need to know more about the technique before you condemn it. The so-called creators of S&T also say that it isn't anything new.

  • @emomagica Stack and tilt is an awfull golf swing. Its for retards that dont know how to use their hands to hit the ball. Thats why Baddley, Weir, Na have dumped it.

  • @Gyro911

You dont want to use your hands to hit the ball, it is too hard to consistently use your hands to time it perfectly every single time. This is usually what keeps golfers from doing well into there 50's. They inability to keep the same hand strength and time it just right.

  • @Gyro911

Even Hogan eventually evolved his grip into a stronger left hand to avoid hooking the ball with his hands.

  • @justinp766 Hogan went to a weaker left hand grip to avoid hooking, not stronger.

  • The golf ball does not JUDGE your pivot...the ball only REACTS to the club's force vector. So learn how to properly control the instrument by implementing the Three Imperatives and Educate the Hands to trace a straight plane with a clubhead lag pressure point while maintaining a flat left wrist. Then u can pivot however the heck you want...keeping in mind that u may not need any pivot in a less than full motion. The pivot does not control the hands

  • you guys don't get it. keeping weight on forward foot is just for retards & old folks.

just copy what Foley is teaching about keeping head & spine still during TAKEAWAY.

you do this by working hard to understand what 'rotating around the spine' really means and feels like. Also how performing it correctly affects how close the arms stay to the torso on takeaway.

But definitely do 'load' the rear leg & then transfer weight to lead leg to begin downswing.

hint - think 'do not move the spine'

  • @nsaminder Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

  • @nsaminder

the head stays still, the spine does not.

The spine is constantly moving in this type of golf swing.

if the spine never moves, the hips don't move either(which is connected to the bottom of the spine)

  • @nsaminder I disagree. Not all of your weight is on the front foot. It's about 60/40.

  • @thefamiliepak couldve sworn that was what Plummer said when i went to his clinic a couple of days ago hmm

  • @thefamiliepak in order to stack the spine must tilt towards the target.

  • @WhyNotEatMeNow1991

the spine must tilt towards the ball to keep the head in the same position as address.

  • totally golf machine.. love it

  • @MrAudiopost technically, every swing is golf machine..

  • His head never moves. That is the key to keeping him centered.

  • @MrTanker10a his head never moves, but according to him, its good to shift weight into the right foot going back, which seems weird, but it should be possible. he advocates keeping the upper body still on its axis, and make the arms follow that plane.

  • Total stack and tilt, nothing new. Call it what you want, but it's S&T.

  • Man, that's a massive turn!

  • for someone who claims to have only used 5% of Stack and Tilt in his teaching method. He sure does use almost 100% of it in his own swing, all the way to the flying wedge finish

  • @projectbc thats not a flying wedge finish. Charlie Wi has a flying wegde finish. Foley's is pretty much just a standard finish.

  • @Gupps0123456 pause at 0:16-17, its almost exactly the same as Charlie Wi's finish.

notice how both arms are strait, and the club/shaft is pointing almost at the camera.

this is basically a lazy/relaxed flying wedge finish.

In any case, I'm just causing trouble, lol

  • @Gupps0123456 That finish is the dumbest looking, most unecessary shit I've ever seen in my life. Anyone who finishes that way is basically telling you via golf swing finish, that they are susceptible to joining a cult. Wi and Foley both do it. Tiger is even starting to do it because of Foley.

  • That's a really good sound fundamental golf swing. If he can teach Tiger how to swing like that using his driver LOOK OUT!

  • @SwingItLikeMoe Look out for what? A smothered hook? Or a low short fade?

  • good swing, mike bennett and andy plummer taught him well, LOL.

  • @spartanstackandtilt Just so you know this isnt Stack and Tilt... This is still golf machine with minimal weight shift. Watch S&T vids and look at the differences.

  • @87Buckler are you blind, SandT isn't anything new. SandT references the golf machine book. Also, the golf machine isn't a swing method. Sean Foley doesn't believe in weight shift, watch his videos. It's a good looking swing.
