Numb nuts who was OCIng the long gun was IMPROPERLY CARRYING IT. OC of long guns is legal, but the muzzle should be pointed DOWN, not UP. Elmer Fudd was not hunting. There's so much more to WHY he was OCing a shotgun. Must be 21 to get CCW. Lansing Police were screwing with him because he bad mouthed them and would not allow his purchase permit to go through so he could purchase pistol. Long story, but bottom line is, state law says no one but the state shall regulate firearms.
This all depends upon how the laws of the state are written. In my home state, libraries CAN NOT legally obstruct law abiding citizens from carrying openly or concealed. We are rated as a Gold Star state. :)
