  • I remember years ago (in the late 70's/early 80's) a couple of farmers found some space junk on their property in the south of the south island of New Zealand, It had Russian cryllic writing on it. When the NZ government asked the Russian Government what and where it was from the NZ government was told that it wasnt Russian, Its now held by the Museum of NZ and anyone who see's it can tell it was Russian, it was even translated, something for a space craft ventilator or something off a Soyuz

  • damn will russia sell ANYTHING for money?

  • russia has good ideas, us has the money..... One could only dream

  • everything russian for sale i found 2 su 27s for sale in US russian tanks, lol a shuttle if i had the cash i could start my own private space program on my private island.

  • 2 su 27 were sold by Ukraine to US ... Russian tanks come from occupied countries .

  • That is not the Buran it is the so called Aero Buran. The real Buran was destroyed in 2002 when the roof of it's hangar collapsed.

  • The US and Russia should work together to develop a smaller space shuttle that is launched from a plane. A modern version of the Energia booster can be used to carry the payload required for Mars.

  • this is wrong, they must to rebuiild Buran and put this spacecraft in space to fire against Endeavour and restore the CCCP !! ah ah ah !

  • Yeah, right. Mount a laser cannon on it and start the first space war.

  • Wow...it's very strange to see a 'shuttle' taking off under jet power.

  • Russians were smart to stick to Rockets and $h1tcan the shuttle. Now if NASA could wake up and do the same they would probably save some money.

  • Do what ?

  • The shuttle is an overcomplicated piece of junk.

  • @packrat76

It served it's country well for 3 decades of success and was only lost twice due to human error.

  • Actually have you been to the NASA website recently? THey're switching back to rockets for Mars : )

Now if only NASA were better funded...

    *sigh*

  • Shit, an interesting space project down the drain...

  • It's sorry that it only flew once..
