SHAMEFUL SHOT: Bad enough that HBO should put on the Oliver McCall-Lennox Lewis fight Feb. 7 in the first place, less than three months after McCall was dividing his time between training and drug rehab.
Publication:The Washington Post Publish date:February 17, 1997 Author:Leonard Shapiro
Lennox Lewis should have his own GRILL, just like George Foreman I think he will sell even more GRILLS than George Foreman ever did.
In fact, I think that the BRITISH MEDIA should FINALLY sit Lennox Lewis down and give him a GRILLING about how he SELECTED his OPPONENTS. Such as a 1993 Tony Tucker who was addicted to COCAINE and MARIJUANA (Suspensions) , and had 3 YRS out of boxing. Also AVOIDING a PRE-PRISON Tyosn until he smoking MARIJUANA and FAT in 2002!
@BruceinFalkirkHe hid in England until all the best HW fighters were past their primes, and that's undeniable.
In England, he got knocked out by his only live opponent (Oliver McCall), exposing a fragile decanter chin.
In America, he fought good names but not good fighters.
First, a 35 year-old overweight cocaine addict named Tony Tucker. Tucker had been the HW champ, but was only a shadow of his former self at this point (14 pounds heavier than he weighed when he fought Tyson).
Tony Tucker was the mandatory challenger for this fight, you ignorant prick. That means that the WBC made Lewis fight Tony Tucker, a Don King fighter. Who the hell picks a Don King fighter for a gimme.
The McCall rematch, for the vacant title, was in Nevada, you awesomely stupid psychotic moron. You have no arguments and have lost again.
After the Tyson fight, Tucker failed to return to the ring for nearly two-and-a-half years, during which he became obese and addicted to cocaine. Dwindling his finances down to just $8,000, he blamed part of his situation to the anger he felt towards his payment on the Tyson fight. He claimed to have only received $250,000 out of a $1.2 million guarantee from promoter Don King.
YES WE KNOW, 1993 TONY TUCKER = WASHED UP, HANDPICKED DRUG ADDICT FOR THE GLASS JAWED BUM LENNOX LEWIS

Aw no, I never saw that coming. No facts, only cut and paste stuff.
Since you have not refuted it, I assume you accept that McCall and Tucker were mandatory challengers for Lewis

It seems Lennox intentionally let Tucker hit him.
