Ok, I get that it's Initial D, and I like it because of that. But seriously, Ryosuke needs Keisuke for the storyline to work, Nakazato's R32 is supposed to grip, not drift (because he hates drifting), Iketani isn't there to "guide" Takumi, and Itsuki doesn't own the S13, Iketani does, and Shingo isn't there to sabotage other racers.The Evo II doesn't have a turbo sound, only an exhaust sound. The Evo IV loses on Akina, not the Evo III, and the Evo III doesn't get damaged at all.
ive got nothing against the people saying that this film is crap, but these people are comparing it against the manga and anime. I actually liked this film, but maybe because i never read the comics. However the directors well known film Infernal Affairs was a masterpiece in my view and then i went and watched The Departed, of which of course i thought was completly crap. But then i was comparing it to Infernal Affairs and had i not watched that, The Departed probably would have been a good film
I have no problem with the script, story was purposely modified too to fit in the movie. They got the wrong actor for Ryousuke...He's a freaking shorty play boy / kid..and the biggest mistake ever made is the MUSIC!!! Where's the Eurobeat from Avex????
It would be a lots better movie if they use the Avex eurobeat songs. Actually the phephatic battle music juz screw up the whole movie, other than that we should give credits to the stun man :)
I have watched this movie, the entirety and I understand what they are saying because I still hate this god awful movie. I'm not saying the actors are piss awful, there pretty good. But the story is a cluster fuck of shit when it just re-wrote the base of the anime! Itsuki is the son of the gas station owner? Keisuke doesn't exists. Nakazato is friends with Ryusuke?! Nakazato hates him in the anime. But the R32 Skyline drifting was insulting. The anime character hates to drift, yet he's drifting

Yeah, it was so awful. I understand you can't fit the entire manga into hour and half movie, but just pick an area, how about the beginning of Takumi's amazing ability. Just stick to stage one and it would have been great. Nakazato and Kyoichi wasn't that important in stage one, you wouldn't have to fuck with their character makeup. Damn that movie pissed me off. People who watch it just don't know how great Initial D is.
