The SEALs had no support whatsoever, they couldn't get a radio signal where they were and thus had to fight the rags all on their own. They killed roughly 135 rags, while the rags couldn't even kill the 4 of them.
One of them, Lt Michael Murphy, valiantly stepped right into the open (that's where the only signal was) to call for backup.
