i hope mankind fail in their attempts to ever reach the planet...man will only bring misery to any planet he eventaully does reach...war,greed,money...the surface of mars will be a different kind of red if man ever sets foot on it-not the red of rust,but the red of blood...his own and the blood of all the animals that he will continue to slaughter for his protein requirements....only when man can collectively by-pass his stone age brain should such technology feats be considered.

But man has long successfully landed on Mars with distant probes decades ago! Man shouldn't dare man himself to Mars or would end up dead before reaching Mars (assuming the space craft ain't miss its target)!
