They rarely bite, but are more likely flail of hairs on the backs of their body which irritate the skin and eyes. As to the strength of their venom, some taratulas are no worse than a bee sting, and there has never been a recorded death through tarantula bite.

They are not actually dangerous except for its nasty inch and a half fangs that really hurt when it sticks it's fangs deep in ur flesh. All tarantulas are not that poisonous its just certain kinds of people who are allergic to bee stings are the ones who suffer from a tarantula bite.

He is about 7" now, and is going to molt again in the next month. He basically eats a ton in a month and gets nice and plump. Then he walls off his little hide and stays in there for two months and doesn't eat or come out at all. Then he molts and comes out really hungry and the cycle happens again. LOL

I'm not scarred of him anymore, but he still surprises me with how fast and mean he can get.

I have horses, and a dog. I payed for them because the horses I enjoy riding, grooming, petting and taking care of them. Same with the pooch (minus the riding, of course, ha.) You can't do (most) of those things with a spider.

Though, I do see your point, and as I like to say, "To each his own." Maybe people don't understand why I'd want a 1,000lb animal to run around on. *shrugs*

do chech weather its sex, look at the pedipalps, if itsa male, they have a more boxing clove apperance, females have long and skinny pedopalps

being this small you really can't confirm sex. the boxing gloves comes on the final molt got a good 9 or so inches to grow before that happens. the best way at this point is to find out if it has spermathicae or not. but even this method may prove wrong for such a small spider!

u got a future monster there m8 well done, so urs is a male?mines a big female-females get bigger and live longer, bare in mind your substrate is rather dry and needs to be a little bit moister coz this species loves lots of humidity!
