Skinny tires perform great in mud, because they put more pressure on a small area, giving more traction and letting the tires dig down to harder ground under the mud. with a wider tire, you basically need enough HP to float or skip across the top of the mud. Since almost any stock, or even slightly modified motor isn't putting out that type of power, skinnier is going to perform better.

This is the coolest Jeep ever built right here. Ever since I forst saw it in my Petersen's 4-Wheel and Off Road magazine, I've wanted one. Mopar brought it to the 2009 (or 2010, can't remember) Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, and it was actually a really capable rock climber and off roader. It's powered by a HEMI, too.
Real Jeeps aren't Chrysler. The only thing Chrysler did was buy the technology from AMC. Quadradrive.. yeah American Motors engineered that. The Wrangler actually achieved worse off-road ability after Chrysler changed the aesthetics. Look at the Mahindras Willy's. It's exactly the same thing that AMC/Willy's built. Chrysler only changed the appearance, and hindered the off road ability.
It's a stock suspension jeep with the lowest center of gravity running 40 inch tires,no fullsize truck will ever top this Jeep.And sticking a Z-71 sticker on something doesn't make it a off road truck- only a fishing truck.Jeep builds the wranglers for the rocks.

Im having a hard time seeing why this is any different from a Wrangler with a modified rollcage and fiberglass body... I love Jeeps but honestly I cant seem to justify this purchase over a wrangler...thoughts?

Im having a hard time seeing why this is any different from a Wrangler with a modified rollcage and fiberglass body... I love Jeeps but honestly I cant seem to justify this purchase over a wrangler...thoughts?

i am sure you could get the same engine in a wrangler maybe
it is just another look this truck thats all it was just built to draw attension to the jeep
it looks good but i ould not get one rather build one for half the price

I'm guessing this is the "adjustments" Jeep is going to make for the 2012 wrangler, because they did say the windshield and front end were going to be freshened.
