  • it is great news for us afghans XD

  • this is all bullshit..

  • @24Safi24 how this is all bullshite

  • I'm an American.....Do you want freedom??? or Do you want to be opresessed by the Taliban??? Women.....Rise up!!!! Have a voice!! Have a life!!! Be counted!!! Dont let Men push you around!!! You mean everthing!!! Women make the world go around!!! There would be no life without us!!!!!!!

  • WTF yasinka5!!! thats not our religion its u ppls close mind that keep thinking like that im an afghan too so i know wat type of ppl only think that way!!!! so dont show muslims or afghans close minded like ur self! :)

  • so many talent had not been shown .

same like rest of the world .

even most could not have opportunity to do .

  • Propaganada

  • I read somewhere on here she is seeking asylum somewhere.. You know why? She got out of Afghanistan, and saw what civilization is like, probaly in china. Then decided, why do I want to go back to the desert where I have no running water or electricity. And where my neighbors want me dead, for being more successful then them, and not having 10 kids And the track she practiced on is secured by barb wire. So I don't blame her at all more power to her. I bet more 3rd world athletes will follow.

  • the problem she was or is facing (i dont know the current situation) is that the afghan gov is threating to imprison the family if she dosent return.

Speed4goal, If you are a marine maybee you can reach out to her family if its not to late.

This girl has alot of courage and all my respect

    if i could help iwould

  • That sucks she has to run with all those clothes on. (dress code or whatever). How did the founding of Islam repress women? Are arabs insecure of there small penis's? That there women would cheat on there husband from looking at another man.. Come on now, if you love someone you don't do that. I'm proud to be a Marine. I'm fighting to maybe give these girls a chance of a education and freedom of choice. In husband, clothing, and jobs

  • The olympics let the whole world celebrate together. Peace.

  • am an afghan and am not oroad of her because it is not allowed in our religion for women to run with tight skin trousers and they not allowed to run in public places sourounded by men

  • @yasinka5 You are a scary person!!! She has the right to run!!!! She is a human being!!! You and your religion do not have the right to take that away from her!!!! Let her live!!!! And be who she wants to be!!!!

  • I was proud to see my flag in the stadium and more proud to see a gold medalist and a woman apearing.

  • Well done sister!!! We should be proud of you!!! You were all great

  • The Olympic committee should give her a medal just for showing up. Think of what she had to go through to get to where she today.

  • wish her success, too bad most of our afghan people are thick headed and have no brains and don't want anyone to succeed Islam doesn't mean oppression against women

  • Good Job my sista.. Doesnt matter if you even loose.. Atleast you got the guts.. Unlike some pussies who talk shit over the internet.. and having the guts is too far to them.. they can just talk.. Zinda Baaaaad Afghan sista and Afghanistan

  • they training her to run into the crowd at 100miles an hour w/ a bomb.

  • your such an ignorant asshole really fuck off

  • lol.

  • You have no hope do you?

  • hope for wat iraqi dolphin? lol...wow.hahahahahahahahahaha

  • afghans should be pround of her....& even f not, she shouldn't care....as an afghan i m proud of her...zenda bad afghanistan..

  • afghans.....wake up!!! still asleep, what r u waiting for? everything N our country is finished. so let the poor ppl 2 do what they want to do...u all having fun N us or either any other european country & talking shit. anyway, thatz the truth, n afghan culture everything applies to woman not to a man. when it comes y it happens? then so easy to blaim "Islam".

  • Yes it needs guts . She's not the problem . The problem is the Misogyny of afghan's male mentality!!! She should be able to run on kabus's street . Athletes needs more than an old stadium . The second problem is what you see on the comments . The first solution is violence . I spent more than a year in afghanistan . The problem is not the country itself , it's the goddamn mentality .

  • I am asking the world to safe our sister Mahbooba who suffers from men insult in a country where she got the first chance to do sports.

  • But she has guts , and afghanistan needs more people like her . She lost but she tried!

  • Typicals afghan speech . Cutting throats seems to be the only solution for afghans :P Like the olympics , afghanistan is , and will stay the shittiest country on the planet . If you want to change it , begin to change your mentality ....

  • "Cutting throats seems to be the only solution for afghans :P Like the olympics , afghanistan is , and will stay the shittiest country on the planet ."????

How do you dare to speak like this about Afghanistan?? WITH ALL RESPECT, think about your own country first...

And let the poor girl do her thing.Who cares if she wins or not.Okay its too bad that she is not that good, but her mentality is great! Its about being a part of the olympics, thats already something to be proud of!she has the guts!

  • A considerate Afghan individual must encourage whatever is good for Afghan nation in and outside Afghanistan. Due to individualism in our afghan socieities, we suffered alot. We should not the catastrophe of the past destroy our nation and country's future. Let's stand behind every positive effort in order stand our nation again all odds.

  • What the heck is wrong with you people? why you curse each other? what the heck did you guys eat? what was in it? shame on you? you better not talk like that! try to make some changes! till when is it going to be like this? Even these western societies could not change your typical behavior? I am really disappointed. I assume most of you guys are young Afghans, therefore, each one of your should be held responsible for what ever said.

  • I totally agree about the cursing! BUT what is the western society to teach us?? The war in Afghanistan has changed the people, imagine what a war can do in 5 years. Afghanistan was in different wars, more than 25 years in total. What do you expect from the people in Afghanistan.

But i really dont know why the boys and girls that didnt see anything from the war, are cursing and behaving like this.. its really sad.

I hope its not the education they got from there parents:S

  • Girl finished at last place in her race.

I hope she does better in future.

  • Didnt she run away from Training in Italy !!!!!

  • hey u pashto motherfaka

  • you losers!! she tries to change something in the world!! and all you stupid people do is to make fun!!! seriously ..as long as you people dont change..Afghanistan will never be successful!! shame on you all!!!

  • she is a in NORWAY right now asylum:P

  • zinda bad hazara ha wa pashtoonha tajikan shaitan ast

  • wtf is wrong with u, u kno im a pashtoon and i don't think like it's your kind of pashtooon thats makes pashtoons name baddd. stupid can't.

  • well done brother and sister, allah give you success

  • omg..... how come pplz???

  • i hope she do something good 4 her counry to inspire otehr rural afghan womenz... who are not allowed to be seen outside of the house. wish her gud luk every1... ppl dnt be silly she not goona do soemthing silly hope she will make us prude inshllah..

  • She quiet the team. Now, she is n Norway asking asylum.

  • Even though she probably doesn't have a chance racing against the best in the world, I hope her story inspires other women who are constantly discriminated against. They deserve to have an equal chance and shouldn't be looked down upon simply because of their gender... she's truly a courageous girl. Best of luck to her and her family.

RSS LONDON -- The only female athlete on Afghanistan's team for the Beijing Olympics has gone missing from a training camp in Italy and apparently is seeking political asylum in Norway.

  • shame on her. That is our women lol. Run away from compitation.

  • i cant wait to see this wonderful female running amongs all quickest ladies.

i am an afghan myself and i feel really proud even knowing that she will loose the race.

For a second let's think about the quality of training she receive, she cant run on the streets, she cant have a running machin, the only place that she can train is the national stadium. how courages girl she is, wicked

  • the best of luck

  • the point is not about whether or not she'll beat the "Canadians, Americans, or Jamaicans". THe point is, i think, that this extraordinary woman is competing against all odds- society, living conditions and tradition. Bloody well done, truly inspirational.

  • Man this an entirley an isolated and a biased report about this woman...tru she is an athlete....but man Afganistan's Rebelion...i.e. Taliban is stronger than ever, this vid is just to please western interests... Kabul 100% controlled by the Taliban and they r growin in great numbers....the best part is the Taliban's new manpower isnt Afghan ppl anymore.... Its Muslims from around the globe take up a majority of the Taliban....Believe it or not this is reality....

  • THOSE TALIBANS FROM AROUND THE WORLD SHOULD GO AND RUIN THEIR own COUNTRY!!

  • (I'm also thrilled by whoever knowledge who uploaded this video it's not Afgan it's Afghan!)

  • how important this is for her and for Afghan women?? And all you see is that stupid head scarf, yea men are stupid, what can she do about that? and plus that's not the only thing to slow her down, compare her with an American athlete women under professional training and special diet and in best physical and mental health. this girl doesn't even have freaking running water at her house! It takes guts to do something like she is doing.

  • plz dont swear her plz if you swear her thats mean you swear me too because i am afghan and her too plz whatever she is dont swear her thank you..

  • stuipppppppppp

  • gosh ppl are so arrow minded , you talk about aerodynamics, don't you see the big picture!?

  • Good luck to this courageous young woman.

She will do her best, and if she can't compete against the Rest, hopefully she will get more opportunities in the Future.
