Yes we use both cisco and moto that a problem, just run a newer coax cable that can handle the high speed data will solve the use of the ont and the stb that the answer and they should look into that . yes cisco stb to new customer only, Build a newer router that will do all 3 service ,verizon is the data company not video
How will you be able to prevent neighbors from sharing accounts with this technology?. In an apartment building especially you will have massive sharing of accounts.
@ITALIAN926 there is plenty of encryption in place. you can't share the video from your ONT with someone else in an APT using the same coax now, and you won't be able to then either. ever heard of a cablecard?
@watice Why is this so hard to understand. ? Im your neighbor within 200 feet, whether its across a driveway or through a sheetrock wall. I order 4 "wireless STB's" and LEND you 2 of them after the technician leaves !!! Get it now? Youre as clueless as the mindless engineers developing this crap.
@ITALIAN926 then you're in violation of your user agreement & terms of service, just as u would be if u shared your internet with your neighbors, or a STB with a sublet floor in your house. common sense. you definitely lack it.
@watice .. and how much jailtime is there for those violations? lack of common sense, is what YOU have. I personally know like 5 people who shares their routers security key with others. This situation will be 10 times worse with wireless STB's. Like the Verizon corporation, you fail to realize that people find the CHEAPEST alternatives to save money in this bad economy.
Like anything with Verizon, there will be a $29.99 upgrade fee for all boxes you have, plus an additional monthly fee for the "service". What I really enjoy is paying for FIOS, yet in order to use the service I already pay for, I have to pay ANOTHER fee on top of it for the "box" to fully utilize the service I pay for. So I pay for things twice. Being in a home with 5 TV's, having 5 HD DVR boxes is expensive as crap. Around $85 dollars a month in just box fees. There is no way around it. :(

Interesting that all the STB's in the video are Motorola, Verizon is only shipping Cisco STB's now.

Will Frontier FiOS customers get this? Damn Verizon for selling Oregon/Washington off to Frontier.

Excellent. Why have four tuners when IP can do it all, nicely done Verizon.
