06's had a third gear issue, it is supposedly fixed with amsoil tranny fluid. The 09's haven't reported any transmission problems, I have an 09' haven't had too many issues.
06,07 and half of the 08's... easily fixed by using synchromesh transmission fluid. a short throw shifter also helps a ton, but not quite as effective as the fluid change.
That sucks for the SI. I have a celica gt-s and i lost to a pontiac grand am because i ground second, god it's embarrassing!! Happens to the best of us.
you mean to the Worst of you? I always wonder how people think they are good drivers when they grind/miss shift a gear. If they have trouble with that, imagine in an actual race track (no, not a silly drag race track).
Ya that's true, the guy who had the car before me installed a short shifter. My shifter's a little sloppy for some reason. I really didn't grind it, it was more like a lock out instead. Its hard to explain, but I'm sure you can guess by now what i'm trying to explain
Do we know what it is? Usually it only happens when the engines cold, but sometimes just happens randomly. Its like theres a wall in there that wont let you shift sometimes
Well ya, I never run it cold. I always let it warm for about 5 mins, winter or not. But it still sometimes doesnt shift that great. Some days are good, and some days aren't

07-09 Si's have transmision problems..
