He's one of the most ignored artists in America. He says in another interview (which can be seen on youtube) that he hasn't made more films because of a lack of funds, which I don't believe. You can get grants, sponsorships, or other forms of financing. You can also use a DV camera, which is cheaper than 16mm.
I think he hasn't done a whole lot of work inthe last 30 years because he's mentally ill. I also wonder how he supports himself. It's unlikely that he has social security.
not after hollywood babylon, it's the same thing with alexandro jodorowsky. men with a vision with that should be supported. although in his case, the cancer might affect his stamina.
