  • Nice =D The Loc's There are many front, Was that because the train is long?

  • Great video

  • dksadxhszdhfdsjz

  • i wish those signals still existed..........i LOVE those signals!

  • that bell sounds wierd

  • just ten seconds

  • why are they gone?.

  • all the motive power was elephant style....

  • why did i know that as soon as a car passed it whould go off

  • wow that is a nice K5LA

  • Will have some of those bells on the crossing lead to sharon yard in sharonville ohio

  • Will still have some left in cincinnati

  • American and Canadian train whistles are the best sounding in the world.

  • I like how the train in your watermark flashes the ditch lights!

  • Why were there 3 Amtraks? That was not a Union Pacific.

  • what is so, "rare" about this signal??!

  • @NsTrainMan07 There aren't many of them left.

  • Pretty epic seeing that first one was loco #2

  • The other crossing gate on the other side I think has a Western Culles Hayes Electric Bell

  • Thats cool I love the horn!! :)

  • the safetran bell sounds really ......weird i like the old school bell better

  • Gate on the left side is slow

  • I see another crossing in the distance. Whats that one for?

  • Nice train and crossing. Thumbs up!

  • Great catching the sound of that Safetran Type-1 electronic bell. Sadly, it succumbed when both these cantilevers were replaced entirely. I noticed this while riding the PRS special.

  • love that amtrak bell. nice sound.

  • I like those Old school crossing signals.

  • @qwandiddy They are gone now.

  • @steven92336 WOW, there's still plenty of them here in chicago suburbs.

  • @steven92336 damn i love those Griswold gates.

  • @steven92336 Pee!

  • @steven92336 there's a couple in philadelphia

  • Great Video !

  • How did they make it where the light don't flash when the gate go's up?

  • @jakubowski2008 They used separate flasher relays.

  • Coolio. I should ask to railfan next weekend near a crossing in Peotone, IL that has a Type 1.

  • wow the lowest p42 number ive seen is 13 on 3751! GREAT SHOT!

  • I find it odd that the gate lights and the signal lights don't sync as they flash... Plus it's odd that the signal lights and e-bells turn off, yet as the gates rise, the gate lights are still flashing.... Who owns this line??

  • @whammy3323 Union Pacific.

  • @steven92336 That's weird, Union Pacific dosn't do that with their gates. It's CSX that likes to do that.

  • @crossinggate84 Or CONRAIL.

  • @whammy3323 From an electrical engineering standpoint it makes sense as to why the lights on the gate would continue blinking after the signal lights had stopped; One would imagine that the closest thing to failsafe that you would get on something like this would be to have a sensor noting the gate's position; If the gate was lower than X the lights would turn on; If the gate was Higher than X they would turn off. So if you notice they do turn off before they are all the way up.

  • Great video.

  • they have a whole lot of type ones in san diego

  • @kylecascadden Where in SD?!

  • @AmtrakSurfliner768 Like everywhere. Here in LA there's lots too!

  • Ive got a few vids @ this crossing, but there not uploaded yet

  • Geez, that crossing doesn't give you a whole lot of warning...

  • @steven92336 Yup!

  • Thanks steven! AWESOME SHOT!!

  • @TheSouthernPacific No problem! Thanks!
