@ManoDoPatinete Well, the idea of Linux is customization, doing what you want with it. Personally, I love the Mac OSX Dock. I've equipped Rocket Dock in my Win 7, and I have Docky working in my Ubuntu. I use Compiz to hide the side panel "task bar" (as I call it).

Tack onto that, that Ubuntu has that nifty "snapping" feature that Win7 has, and well, I'm a happy cat. Solid, stable, fun. That's Ubuntu. Works with everything, gives me little to no hassle, that's Win7. Overpriced, that's OSX

@VeeOz3340 You do realize that the MAC OS is FreeBSD with a GUI? You Sir have the ideas part of that a bit reversed. Windows and Mac both have been using open source code for years to keep producing software. The only issue is they need developers that can think outside of the box. All this "theme" is doing is confirming the pirating of open source for profit by Apple. Do some research next time.

Or get a XBOX360 if you actually like to pay taxes to play online...

wine is just as good as Crossover. If you feel differently, please tell me why...

you can get a translucent bar by right clikcing on an empty space, hitting properties, backround tab, and then hitting solid color.

Then scroll the bar to translucent.

you will also probably have to change your apperance. go to appearance theme and hit customize. choose clearlooks for the controls tab and you should be good to turn both bottom and top traanslucent.

Update:

I was trying to open compiz yesterday and for some reason it was not opening.

I was able to fix the problem by opening system->administration->additi­onal drivers. There was a link to install ATI proprietary drivers. I downloaded and installed the drivers, restarted the system, and the animations worked like a charm.

Hi, I just installed ubuntu 10.10 and then macbuntu, but for some reason I can't find out how to get the animations you are displaying in your video when minimizing windows. And the wobbly windows effect does not work either even though I selected "y" when installing.

I'm at a loss and any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
