Blackhawk had many great songs from the 90's through 2005. This one is one my personal favorites. Honorable mentions go to "I Sure Can Smell The Rain," "Down In Flames," "Big Guitar," "There You Have It," "That's Just About Right," "Like There Ain't No Yesterday," "Postmarked Birmingham," "Every Once In A While," & their tribute to Van Stephenson, "Ships Of Heaven." All these songs highlighted a career worthy of the HOF. RIP Van, and thanks Henry and Dave for keeping the music alive. Kudos!

Rock music: the best so far was in the 50s-90s.

Country music: 60s-90s (at least for me ^.^)

Pop music: 80s-90s

Rap: 80s-90s

Classical: 70s-90s (that's 1670s to 1890s =P)

If there was a genre of music that survived Y2K, I haven't heard it... I blame auto-tuning, the total lack of talent, and Britney Spears (can't actually link her to the tragedy, but she was popular when music started to go to shit).

Rock itself didn't die until the 80s (Queen, Rush, Guns N' Roses, and while I myself am not a big fan of this particular direction of rock: AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Def Leppard). And even then all of this is subjective; some people found the "rock" bands of the 90s up to today as "good" (granted, we clearly disagree with them... but at times I can't help but think we're just relics, the same as our [grand]parents complaining our music wasn't music).
