you were right mate, i phoned the place i ordered the x58 from and from what they say there were a batch of motherboards that came without the tuning board and certificate!! he said the machine on the production line at where they were put together ran out and so didint place these in the box, he has just ordered up the missing parts from evga now, take a few weeks he said, all sorted :-)

the gtx 295's are a dual gpu video card. So yeah the Gtx295's are better than 3gtx 285's, although 4 gtx285 classified video cards are better than 2 gtx 295's. Sorry if I came across as ummmmmm rude.

Well the comment about the 3 285s kicking 2 gtx295 with the dual GPu's is theoretically incorrect in real world and Vantage and 3D mark 06 In this board the 2x gtx295 in sli quad wipe the floor with 3 285 dont waste your money 2 x 295 only way to go. you need decent 2200 mhz memory in tri channel. all is sweet.

If you buy this motherboard your going to need to get the waterblock from evga for the north and southbridge. The heatsink they have is too small to handle high over clocking and will heat up like hell without watercooling.

You also use that slot for a new killer nic Xeno pro ethernet card and get a bit lower latency and lag on higher memory using games like WoW on busy servers :P some say they don't work but my piece of crap computer actually runs WoW better as far as latency and lag goes occasionally my fx5200 can get 25 fps for some odd cracked out reason :P and it takes a load off my 2.1ghz cpu
