I couldnt disagree with you more concerning the property rights. The Lockean view of property rights says that you own land when you mix your labor with it. The 1st owner in your story mixed their labor with the land by purchasing it but then never did so again. The squatters then spent 21 yrs mixing their labor with the land without protest against them. So who would you say had more claim to the land, someone who contributed once or someone who spent 21 yrs contributing?
