  • the Volt haves gas engine and electric for me that just half solution, just buy Nissan Leaf

  • bunch of bullshit

  • Did Bob know he was being filmed??? lol

  • Does it create less garbage in a landfill? I don't believe for a second that it does! & this guy is wasted as shit!

  • Bob Clutz overlooks the fact that lithium ion can not be recycled economically and normal car batteries can.

  • Bob Clutz.

  • its all a few people and companys running the world namely oil, electric, pharm's, insurance, fed reserve.. :( check out project camelot ... zero point energy for all!! or search disclosure project 1993 they had over 400 witness's with evidence go to congress and swear before them and give testimony.. and almost 20 years lata.. still nothing!! free energy is what we need, what the 3rd world countries need what the earth needs, they have the ability to end all pollution basically no power plants

  • Haa haa the band wagon technolgy bit them in the ass. They can't do what they did with the EV1. People will hide there cars from the company. If they lease the car again people are screwed. Big oil has there slong in the back where is has been for years on all cars. Even the EV cars can't hide from the gas cartels.

  • @egn83b Why do so many think there was a conspiracy involving the EV1? It was an experimental vehicle on LEASE to a certain number of people, when the lease ended, they were destroyed as (nearly all) prototype vehicles are. it was not a success for a variety of reasons, one being that it only had a range of 70 miles on a full charge. who wants a car that cant get more than 35 miles from home with enough charge to drive back?

  • Wake up we are as a society are being controlled and lied to on a daily bases by the big media. The EV1 was a sucessful car that got extermely good milage per charge and could go as fast or faster then a compairable gasoline car. Chevron had the cars crushed because it would hert the bottom line of there pocket book. Supression of technology happens a lot. History has shown to have many inventors paid off or killed to supress the population. Look at tesla and what JP morgain did to him.

  • @egn83b True, the liberal media does control the sheepish population... and yes they may say what they want in order to promote politics they like... but, you're facts are wrong about the EV1. do some research. i remember reading about it when it was released, and it was 70miles/charge then, same as now.. and its top speed was 80mph. the "tesla" car is far better than the ev1 ever was.

by the way you spelled "hurt" and "their" wrong.

  • Spelling isn't the issue here.

What I am pointing to is that we needed something like the EV1 when the gas prices went out the roof. The Tesla roadster is far out of reach of the average joe. The EV1's technology was the first to make electric cars a reality. Yea everything has drawbacks but the technology was proven and affordable. Okay look at a regular car it's only 15 percent effientcy and rest of the fuel is wasted in heat because of the way the engine processes the fuel's potental.

  • @egn83b You are right about out of reach, that is because it is a hand made non production car. Just my humble old opinion but, I think that's just further confirmation of a conspiracy to control mass populous money, keep the poor people dependent on gas, it's a huge cash machine for the government and corporate America. Thats why the obomacrats want more tax on energy, so that when we get to efficient cars they will still be able to steel our money. Notice GM exec. looks like Mafia henchman.

  • @egn83b And Tesla committed suicide out of frustration when his invention of FM radio didn't take off. There was no cover up of the invention, it just wasn't marketed because RCA owned AM and didn't want to market something new.

or were you talking about Tesla's wireless-electricity invention? or the infamous Philadelphia?

  • I know there wasn't a cover up on that.

The reason wireless power never took off was because it couldn't be metered very well.

  • hey ******, they claim 40 mile range (all electric) on the Volt, then the dumbasses should not even release that POS then!

All the stuff I read has the EV1 getting 150 miles per charge, may not be true, but I HAVE BATTERY charger technology that increases range ALOT, and anyone can buy similar (better than I have built) from

R[hyphen]CHARGE[dot]com and others! (tesla, etc) IF HOME EXPERIMENTERS CAN DO IT then GM could do it, but they would rather keep suppressing technology! WE WILL BE PROVEN!

  • ,,,(proven) RIGHT!

rhauf pull your head outta yer keester dude, oops, I spelled out of and your wrongly, and maybe even keester,,, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @electrician725 i suppose you think HHO systems are suppressed technology too... right?

  • It's everywhere, far from suppressed!

  • un kanes ?

  • LOL!

"GM is a leader and now everyone jumps on the bandwagon"

Yeah sure dumbass. Your shitty Volt was inspired by the Tesla. Other GM executives have said this in their own words.

I will never buy the Volt given their despicable actions with the EV1.

  • FURTHERMORE, GM owns a smaller company with hyper-mileage technology NOW, they have a car that gets 113 MPG @ 140 MPH!!!! Saw it on Discovery Channel... reverse engineer that bitch and get over 100 MPG @ 70 MPH while carrying 4 passengers. Use that

tech in a micro-hybrid and get 200 MPG easily.

BTW, the car was not a hybrid, it was diesel.

  • Basically just a different setup for cruise control. Only 2 active cylinders. We all remember the 4-6-8 caddy.

  • ??? how is that relevant to what I posted?

  • @electrician725 Diesels by nature are not a good choice for hybrids, little-to-no mileage would be gained.... or by reverse engineer did you mean "junk the high mileage diesel and build a gas hybrid and make it magically get incredible mileage since a diesel can do it"?

  • pretty much, but why can't a diesel make gains as a hybrid? Depends on the setup, make the gas gen in the Volt a diesel and it does better by a similar margin. Reverse engineer the turbo diesel that is getting 113 MPG doing 140 MPH (change gearing and GVWR for a passenger car) just wonder why the haterz give me thumbs down, for one of the best comments on this video. GM DOES have the tech, they just refuse to release it because then we would have evidence they have been screwing us FOREVER!!!!

  • @electrician725 I thought a diesel hybrid would be a good idea at one point too, so i did some research and learned otherwise (Google is your friend)

I have my doubts this 140mph 113mpg car exists... even in diesel form (unless its very small)

also, i'm not quite sure i fallow you on how GM has been "screwing us forever"... even if they really do have tech they don't use,, nobody has been forcing us to buy their cars anyway.. there's Toyota, ford, bmw... etc. please explain :)

  • Discovery Channel, LOTUS, it does exist,

you talk like a GM lackey

  • @jpm000001 I agree! The Chevy Volt does 40 miles on electric alone before it kicks into gas power so why can Toyota only do 12 miles on electric on their plug in that will come out!?? I wish they got 40-50 miles, i'd buy 10 of those!

And how long do these lithium batteries that are in the Prius and Volt last?? HOw much will they cost to replace after 10 years or so??

  • in 1996 they had the EV-1 ..GM was a decade and more ahead than anbody else..germans or japanese

they killed it and bought the Hummer brand

    where is GM now ????

  • In the crapper man, and I for one am reaching for the flushing handle! Going EV my self, I got a 92 DeVille that is slated for the EV conversion :D

  • @emforty2 The inventor of the NI_MH battery the car used in the GM car sold the patents to...I think it was Chrysler.

Lithium tech is 3+ times more expensive than Ni-MH

  • @lostbuffalo but est 10x more better than Ni-MH

Less Weight, less garbage, and MORE POWER!!!!

And Didn't GM make Tesla? I'm not sure...

  • I bet GM really is in love with YouTube lol, as they cant buy the peoples media, it is hard for them to push their propaganda. for every lie they try to pass someone is there to expose them. The only business plan that will save them now is pure electric cars with really good Government backed warranties. Not looking forward to the next few years, but it should be a crazy ride. God help us all!!!

  • @jvmalum If the government is going to back the warranties of these cars, what is going to pay for that huge-dollar program, magic obama-money?

how about just stop giving billions of tax payer dollars in bailouts to companies that run themselves into the ground, and let them fail. that way new companies will grow and the ones with good desirable products will grow to succeed.

  • even if the battery is improved 100% the electricity to charge it will be produced by nuclear or "clean coal" tech hahah? what we need is perpetual motion energy prodution egg heads.

  • Why not SELL NiMH???

  • lithium ion still hold more energy per area

  • i will never purchase a vehicle from these crooks. they're in bed with the oil companies as is TRANSPARENT in the destruction of hundreds(or more?) of healthy EV-1's. vomitous.

  • Blowing their own horns... yet they killed their own electric car that traveled further on electric than the Volt is touted to do. A real joke.

  • The few cars that get flooded like here in Jersey, will make a nice fireworks show. Every Lith car would become a bomb kinda freaky.. These batteries don't like Water.. Unlike lead acid or AGM gels, when in water, they still work. I am all for electric Vehicles and safe Battery use..

  • Lith is a dangerous battery dont let this guy tell you different. Heat can make a lith battery "Run Away" its called in a never ending loop until it POPS. The smoke is also TOXIC..

  • I can't believe those guesses.

It sounds like the R & D is pretty sound at this point, just a matter of getting things to market.

  • it would be great if he was actually putting out electric cars people want instead of sucking down wine. where's gm's stock? oh..55 year low.

  • 4 Min...eheheheh

  • Where exactly do those savings go? Is it towards the R&D towards a better technology, or into maintaining the current norm? Where are the profits of such technology distributed? There are so many questions facing business at the moment. So many questions...

  • They were guessing hours, but 4 minutes. Getting paid at $25 per hour. How long will it take for the job to overseas?

  • Good vid

  • BOLLOCKS! i won first place in the science fair, this is going to fail.

  • SCIENCE FAIR. ROFL!!!

  • it was a joke >.> ... sad that people can't see that

  • i kno it was a joke thats y i laughed :P

  • He is the GM Vice Chairman of Global Product Development he must be a engineer or has alot of engineers keeping him informed in new technologies to betterment the use of renewable energy to make money and a product in need and will be in high demand when gas will be beyond the affordability for the average joe.

  • BRONZE!

  • wow this is really smart

  • SILVER!

  • that dude is hella smart

  • GOLD!
