My dad works with inmates who are dying of cancer. My father makes it a point to give them what they need and make them feel comfortable before their passing. This is because society has already punished them and the criminal has already tormented himself through regret, and to stay with the status quo of endlessly punishing is far too easy. It's best to just make the dying criminal comfortable before their passing. Besides that, by keeping that man alive, he could actually teach us alot about

You do realize that the baltic states were conquered by the sovjets just prior to ww2, and the sovjets used a policy of starvation in the ukraine prior to ww2. It is for a reason that some countries welcomed the germans as liberators. The ukrainians had suffered 10 milion deaths under the soviets before ww2. It is not just black and white, good and evil. Regardless of how I feel about Demjanjuk, him walking on some days and being in a wheelchair the next is not evidence that he is healthy enough to be deported. It certainly doesn't mean he was lying about his poor health. He's clearly frail while walking. It is because of this same lack of understanding of diseases that thousands are denied the help they need.

You are showing far more compassion for a man that would have had none for you, had you been under his control I am sure. I understand what you mean, but we all need to be accountable for the actions we take whether under order or on your own. I would not have followed hitler, or anyone that seeks to limit the rights/lives of people. You should ALWAYS do the right thing, no matter what the consequence to yourself. Hitler was chancellor in 1933 and already had a youth following. This would make the accused man 13 at that time. You cant just count the date from the end of the war to understand the situation this man was living in. You have to review his history to understand him. He was a guard. He was following orders. Why not provide proof of not being a guard in Sobibor and other camps? Where were you Demjanjuk during 1941-1945? On the moon, Jupiter, Cleveland?

Prosecutors had their chance to go after Demjanjuk in the past and their so-called "evidence" turned out to be evidence against a completely different person now infamously known as "Ivan the Terrible," who I think has been dead quite a long time now. So with all credibility gone, are we expected to believe what prosecutors now say they have about Demjanjuk? That would be quite unreasonable to expect them to have anything, considering they already proved themselves to be bungling idiots.

Geez, that was almost a hundred years ago. I think people just need to get over the past. It is time to end the reparations that Germany is paying. Jewish law demands that debts be forgiving after 49 years(7x7) the Jubilee year. That is the whole basis of our Judao/Christian value system we uphold. Frankly I'm tired of hearing about it. The Bush admin played a part in the x number of Iraqi's and Afghans that are killed are we going to hunt them down a 100 years from now and demand justice.
