Youtube is the one place a person can get more than a 30 second preview of music, and find new (to me) artists. I have bought numerous CD's, by different groups ranging from Secret Garden to Fiddlers Green, because I have never heard of them in the US. The artists can thank youtube for the free advertising it gives them.

These musicians arent being ripped off. I can tell you as a pianist myself I would want my name getting out in the public. It is free advertising. If these people want to make a living they need to do it off of touring and not selling records. They will never make enough money selling MP3s etc. You make money touring. The MP3s are just a way for people to know who you are. It is like advertising. People like hearing live music and if this group ever came to Memphis I may go see them.

I wish I understood how so many people can upload whole tracks and CD's of music and yet not get taken down by Youtube or the companies who released the CD's in the first place. Info disclaimers don't count for anything unless actual permission has been given. It's even stranger that you can easily grab the audio off Youtube and thus be able to burn your own CD's of music .... yet others get their videos banned or silenced when they use music as a tribute. Anyone got any explanations?

Well its a very slow and saddening song. The way it echoes in the hallway makes the piece even more hauntingly mournful and beautiful. Ghost stories put me in the mindset of haunted places, and the music made it a little scary to be out at night in concern of ghosts.
