  • hope he doesn't take an arrow to the knee...

  • Excellent page here..loving the vibe!..

  • Woah! Implanted defibrillator! That's one of the coolest inventions medicine could have done! Saves lives! Literally!

  • I guess soccer/football really is a demanding sport... I mean heart attacks... i think almost every year, yes?

  • Comment removed

  • @telefonsketch he speaks dutch (He is a Belgian)

  • he swa the gate

  • my grandma's friend has one of those. he has a pacemaker and a built in defribulator

  • ICD saved him

  • Is he playing again right now?

  • yep!

  • the pacemaker brought him back to life

  • Yes , it's a miracle what they can do today!

If he had that 20, 40 years ago, he wouldt survived!

  • * get's * classic fail.

learn english or type in native language ktxbye

  • go fuck yourself dude

  • good luck to him....we really need something to prevent heart attack in football game.....I wish there is good technology available to prevent sudden death to football players.

  • he's only 20 years old and he has (just like his brother) a congentital heart problem. Since a half year ago, he has a defibrillator. On the field, his hart has stopped for 4 seconds and then the defibrillator has given an electric shock to begin the heartbeat again. After that shock, he had an heartbeat of 300 beatings per minute for 19 seconds! But everything is okay now, and he wants to football for the rest of his life.

  • "he wants to football for the rest of his life."

Which, if he doesn't wise up, could be a year or two. I understand having a passion for sport, but that shit will literally kill him. With a defibrillator implant, there is a strict caution against any contact that could jar or knock wires loose.

  • Really? Because I work with ICD's and Pacer's everyday, and I don't know of this warning. Basically after the 4-6 week healing period is over, patients can resume normal sports activities. The only thing that we warn against is using jackhammers, chainsaws, working over running vehicles (alternator), arch welding, working on power lines, or any kind of risky behaviors, say, like being a cop. Wouldn't want your gun going off if you got a shock.

  • He is a good player indeed, it's actually a great idea for players with heartb problem to have a personal defibrillator

  • as we say here in Portugal: Caputz

  • Sorry i take it back it's not a pacemaker it's an ICD. But to the guy who said that soccer player always pretend to get hurt, there is no reason for him to pretend to be hurt in this play so think before you say something.

  • This soccer player had a heart attack and he has a pacemaker i him so when his heart stoped his pacemaker shocked him, that's why you see his feet kinda jump after he passed out.

  • Pacemakers do not shock. ICD's shock. Pacemakers pace. And ICD's are pacemakers, with a defibillator.

  • Wow, I'm glad he's okay now.

  • He's ok, he didn't had a heart attack by the way, he had a heartfailure what causes a sudden death situation (caused by heartrythm probs). His ICD gave him the right treatment....

  • Did he die?

  • no hes ok

  • You don't get a heart attack you have a heart attack.

  • hope he will be ok in the future as well, don't want it to be another death like those 3 other soccer guys i seen on youtube die. Keep ya in my prayers mate

  • Thats pretty scary,

  • happy he's healthy

  • Get well soon

  • i'm glad he's alive

  • glad hes alright!

  • bad time for "let her die"

  • footballmate its called football

  • soccer

  • you cant beat a bit of heart attack

  • stupid #18 kicks the suferer hard at 15 seconds

  • he had it coming.

  • he didnt kick him

  • Good thing, good man. Life is for living.

  • I Have an ICD implanted, (Implanted Cardioverter Defibrillator) due to a random cardiac arrest incident that occurred a 2 years ago.

  • Are implanted defibs common?

  • you can get em at walmart.

  • I would imagine people with implanted defibs are probably advised against strenuous activity like playing soccer.

  • I would imagine you are probably advised against giving medical advise.

  • cojo culo

  • I was there at the game, it's f*cking scary to see him falling on the ground like that, knowing with his weak heart.

  • the problems he has are genetic , his brother has the same and he already got the same on the pitch a couple of years ago. I was there live , standing on the sideline ( 20 yards away from the incident) the chance he can get this on the pitch is 2 /10 , normally the defibrilator does his thing and he can continue playing footbal...

    Our beloved Anthony Van Loo

    essevee ole ole!!!

  • So this guy has an implant that brings him back to life if he dies?

    WANT

  • Science win. That was just great!

  • THANK GOD FOR TECHNOLOGY

  • a little oxymoron you made.

  • thank who ever thought of that technology.

  • That's just crazy

  • Woot, good news for a change. That defib saved his life.

  • Awesome

  • i didn't know that is possible to play with an implantable difibrillator...

  • i want to say that it is dangerous to play football with an implantable defibrillator because the patient can't receive some hit. i don't know if i can explain...

  • wait a minute, don't soccer players pretend to get hurt all the time?...

    just sayin

  • his heart stopped for 4 seconds. he did not pretend.

  • i speak english...

  • Woop!

  • but he has an impiantable defibrillator?

  • Yes, the shock you see at about 0:15s is the implanted defibrilator in action.

  • Hahaha

  • @musiccalgary

i wanna see if your still alive with your big mouth. Nobody escapes from the death, it was simply just not his time to go. If GOD gives the angel of death the task to take someone's soul it will happen and there is no way the angel will fail.

  • @MrYassinMek No, god sucks, this video proves it. Open your stupid eyes.

  • @musiccalgary what the fuck are saying its bad say like that!

  • The defibrillator shocks him at 0:15

  • did he die?

  • no, he didnt and thats a very good outcome. he would have possibly died if he did not have the defibrillator. its good to prevent these kinds of accidents in football.

  • No, that's what the defibrillator does it shocks the heart to begin beating again.

  • He's speaking Dutch, with a Belgian dialect.

  • What language is this?

  • Comment removed

  • definitely not spanish

  • haha i was being sarcastic like the first guy that mentioned what language it was xD

  • Comment removed

  • because he has a defibrillator and it detects abnormal heart activity and delivers a jolt of electricity to correct it.

if he had the wind knocked out of him, his heart would still be fine

  • Did he say "Arrested Development" at 0:05? If so, he is awesome.

  • C'mooooon!!

  • <3 Gob

  • Comment removed

  • He said "kort voor de rust van het duel", which means "short before the break of the game (the duel)". And the language is (Flemish) Dutch

  • he said rasta elephant

  • @vinay92 He says 'kort voor de rust van het duel met...'

  • Defibrillator my eye! The guy is a zombie and someone should cut off his head before he goes around eating peoples brains.

  • Implanted defibrillator my eye!

The guy is a zombie and someone should cut off his head before he starts running around eating peoples brains.

  • @asennad

    ahahahaah LMAO

  • It probably wasn't a heart attack. It was probably ventricular tachycardia or v-fib, two arrhythmias which can lead to cardiac arrest. He probably had a history of those arrhythmias which led to the defib being implanted.

  • Probably wasn't a heart attack. Was probably ventricular tach or ventricular fibrillation which both can lead to cardiac arrest. He must have had a history of those arrhythmias, leading to the defib implantation.

  • No this is obviously an Illuminati plot.

    Heart/Attack was an Inside Job.

  • yup Flemish commentary says he has a heart condition that warranted such an implant

  • If true then he's a moron for continuing to play football. The guy's asking for death in all fairness, and next time he may not be so lucky.

  • an implanted defibrillator? what made him want to get that?

  • I would assume previous heart issues.

  • Whatever the reason, a good thing he did

  • Perhaps it was the desire not to die.
