Its called British school because it has same curriculum as UK. Nothing wrong with that, its also possible the owner use to live in England. Personally I am from South Korea and I plan to open a hotel called Seoul Hotel in Hargeisa with Asian menu.

I am a proud Somalilander and Hargeisa is my capital. So lemme tell all my somali sisters and brothers from other regions that even us reer Hargeisa are ashamed of that name.

No one's got love for the british but what can you do if the owners decided on giving their school such a terrible name that shows their inferiority complex to their former colonizers.

Why is everyone asking " why is it called the British school?". People who ask that are so dumb and need to enrol in a school themselves. Its called British, not for fun, but because it teaches a British syllabus known as IGCSE. So when people hear 'British' in the name, they will know that it has some links to a British internationally recognised education. I know this because I visited this school as I know the family that owns it.
