@Heyguyslook I just bought the $229 titanium 58mm .3 baby for my soon to come canon vixia hf s200, so check my vids in like a week or two and ill put one to show quality
HEY GUYS.... NEVER BUY ANYTHING FOR THIS COMPANY OPTEKA IT'S A KIND OF COMPANY THAN JUST WANT YOUR MONEY, THEY NEVER GONNA CHANGE ANYTHING FOR YOU.. WARRANT NEVER WORK FOR THIS COMPANY..
THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY, THEY DON'T HAVE QUALITY EVERYTHING IT'S MADE ON CHINA..
SO IT'S MUCH BETTER SPEND A LITTLE BIT MORE IN SOMETHING REAL PROFESSIONAL.
seeing the barrel would drive me insane.. i just ordered a .5x wide hd2 from opteka.. hasn't arrived yet (cause ordering from their website sucks) but i really hope there is no barrel in my shots
thanks so much for this dude! i'm contemplating whether or not if i should get it, cause it is a really affordable fish-eye lens, and it seems like it has good quality to it too
@DarrenWS6 The 0.3X opteka platinum (baby death lens) is only $70 on amazon now dude. I bought it tonight. My Sony HDR-CX12 is 37mm, so it will screw right on, no ring adapters and no lens vignetting like you got with yours.
how did you know which lens would fit on your camera? I skateboard and would really like a fisheye lens, but i dont really know a lot about cameras, and since the best deals are online, i need to understand if my lens would fit on the camcorder before buying it. Response would be much appreciated.
@mansonkulis system of a down - mr.jack. If its a problem, theres this thing called mute, what it does, is it turns audio off and still plays the video, and you can turn it back on later!
@KrazyKidAngel What you want to look for in camcorders is the amount of CCD's (sensor) or CMOS's (sensor) 3CCD or 3CMOS ($500+) are the better ones because they produce better colors. For skateboarding, save about 1200 and get a VX1000 with a MK1. or a VX2100 and get a MKII.
@kerceya This "fisheye" is just a screw thread on the end to attach it to the camera, so it would really depend on what lens you had attached to the 500D body. You could probably forget auto-focus though.
For a DSLR you're better off just getting a real fisheye lens.
Well if I was to play playback from the camcorder to a TV it wouldn't have the look, plus the fisheye grabs a much wider view without doing alot of editing. I know its not as great as a baby death but it suits me fine.
i want fish eye lens really bad, i don't know much about the tech specs. i have a panasonic hdd camcorder, so will it fit or do i have to do some adjustments?
tried it and came up with results but im just wondering how im going to attach it to my camera, i should be able to see some sort of attachment or indication that something goes on the lens but there isn't....thanks anyways
around the lens there should be a number followed by a circle with a / through it if that number is not 37 then you will nedd to get an adapter ring if it is 37 then dont worry about it if you are going to buy this fisheye
does the fisheye shake alot and do you have to hold it i got to get a new camera and fisheye because my camera is being a dick it just decided to change its ways
yo ive checked out the stuff that uve got (camera, fisheye lens) and ive discovered it shudnt cost me that much but because i like filimg skateboarding and stuff i was wondering does your camera have a high-speed option?? cuz if it did then it wud be perfect
and also wat does it film onto?? like is it a tape, SD card, disk or what?? plz reply
well firstly, bad ass screen name haha, it does not have a speed option, its a DV camcorder that records onto 8mm film/Mini DV tapes, so it is a little slow on the blurs, but I cannot afford a nice HD SD camcorder.
