  • ba teshakor az shoma hale

  • There's nothing wrong with not-knowing. Thanks for asking (!)

This is the local music of your home land Iran, along the Persian Gulf coast.

Part of the songs is from Khayyam Neishpoori, the Persian mathematician, physician, philosopher & poet whose poetry book was translated into English by Fitz Gerald, and the English are mad about his poetry book. Same mathematician calculated the most precise calendar year ever used in the word (the Iranian calendar) with error of 1 day every 3770 years.

  • This is not bandari.

  • @Ninijon2009 :))))

  • fuckin awesome !!!

  • man this kind of music touchs the soul ....

please send me the lyrics and what it means.

  • this is sooooo badass

  • What I find fascinating in Khayyam is the profound lamentation about death and utter transience of life.

Alija Izetbegovic, in his deeply philosophical book "Islam between East and West" writes: Nihilism is not a negation of God, but a protest against his absence."

His verses are so full of questions, that it forces you to ponder, and if you are a believer, you will seek out the answers, and be stronger instead.

  • thank you for this quote. the way of negation, or apophaticism, is rarely appreciated, rather taking the way of affirmation and creed (another way of knowing and not knowing, though, too). just appreciate your words here.

  • "Searching for God is a religion, but every searching is not a discovery. Nihilism is a disappointment... caused by the absence of good from the universe.... It expresses the anxiousness, which is, in all its degrees except the conclusion, a religious one.

"For both nihilism and religion, man is a stranger in this world. For nihilism, he is a stranger hopelessly lost, for religion, he is with a hope for salvation."

    (ibid)

    Thanks for your kind comments.

  • This was wonderful. I wonder where I can find the CD.

I guess if you don't have a bunch of half naked girls dancing you are considered ' چرند' or Gay.

  • khodat charandi.

  • Barodarone aziz. az shomo khohesh mikonam, ki matne en sorodro naveshta bikoned

  • you know bandar music is actually from the black africans in iran that the portoguese brought to hormuz

  • What's your source?

I am hearing this first time, and I can't find anything relating to what you claim through a quick google search.

  • check those out, its known in iranian history. bandar means "port" in farsi so the african blacks ended up in iran from the ports in iran like bandar abbas or banda busher from the portoguese slave traders and this is were the music came from.there are still african viliges in iran today were they still play this music, and you can hear it sounds nothing like traditional iranian or arabic music, the drum beat and rhythem sounds totally african

  • I am not sure what to make of it. The middle-east, including Iran, was a melting pot of many peoples. You can see in ancient Persian paining of King's court where 'white' and 'black' scholars around the king. Many highly respected scholars were black. Once Caliph Harun-ar-Rashid was angry (in jealousy) because most Arab cities' chief judges were of African descent. There were Black scientists also around the middle-east.

If you have references to what you say, cite, and I will be all ears.

  • who me?

for the bandari music, look up lashar city on google or wikipidia.

  • I have to go with rollingklouds on this one. I am hearing this for the first time as well. Can u link me a source? Or mention a book?

  • look up lashar city on wikipidia or google. thats where the blacks are in iran and it will tell you their history in iran and how they brought the bandari music

  • i'm starting to think what is my nationality?

  • where were you born

  • then your nationality is english :) the iran nationa is full of these races, but the iranian race only consists of persian and kurd from the ones you put up

  • Did your dad ever thought you your history or he was just ...?

  • جناب وززان متشكر.سلام به افتاب خليج فارس و نابود باد حكومت اسلامي

  • I am not Afghan or Persian and don't understand why there is so much anger here. This is beautiful song with Omar Khayyam poetry. It should make us happy not upset. Althoug I do not understand what the singer is saying but it seems every one participating was fine with it.

  • This for 0314256. You are so rude. Here is not your place.fuck off. We Iranian are proud of these people who perseve our culture.
