I just found this out. The reason for anti-rollback dogs on the turns to the second and third lift hills is to enhance the theme! Why? you might ask me. The reason is that the turns into those lift hills are on trestles. The anti-rollback dogs emit a sound that makes you think the bridge is creaking and groaning under the weight of the train.
To see this, fast forward to 3:24 to 3:44 for the turn to the second lift hill, or 4:21 to 4:31 for the turn to the third lift hill.
