Beatles in 1971 if they were not split off: the album was "Early Years" 1. What is Life 2. Every Night 3.Imagine 4.Another Day 5. Apple Scruffs 6. Jealous Guy 7. Maybe I'm amazed 8.It don't come easy 9. Istant karma 10.Deep Blue 11.Eat at home 12.Isn't it a pity 13.It's so hard 14.Early 1970.
Read about the story of this song in the book "You Never Give Me Your Money" by Peter Doggett, there's a few paragraphs devoted to how this song came to be. Amazing stuff.
Nice song, it can clearly be seen how unhappy was Ringo with the breakup of the band, even despite all the problems they had. He was also the most active of the four in the effort to bring them back together (for example in 1973 when he invited them all to help him with his album Ringo). Maybe it´s a pity they didn´t...
God I just moved and now I'm livin' out in the farmland country of PA, USA and I'm surrounded by cows and sheep all the time-so that line never leaves me head ("he ain't got cows but he's sure gotta whole lotta sheep!")....xD McCartney's "Heart of the Country" is another one for driving down those farmland roads ;)
great song by 'Rings' here!, bout' 'The Boys', post-split
I remember having the "It Don't Come Easy" 45 and this was the flip side. Even though I was a big Beatle fan, I had no idea what this song was about till many years later. Great song, yes, George Produced both sides.
Was this Album after or before Ringo's Goodnight Vienna Album? I love this video of Ringo. Thank you so much for posting this fabulous video! Happy Birthday a little early to Ringo Starr! Peace and Love, TM
Oh wait I see now...first is about Paul. second John third George last Ringo

Cookie was John, George and Ringo's nickname for Billy Shears, the guy who replaced Paul after that fatal car crash.

Ringo aparte de ser un gran musico es una persona muy divertida con ganas de bromear y que ve la vida muy alegre

I just realized this is about the other Beatles...Also cookie is a reference to John Lennon, as he shouts that in a couple songs.

Is COOKIES supposed to be a reference to the shout of COOKIE in 'hold on'?

This explain all the love he gave to GPJ and the love they gave him. And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.True.
