good tip, spot on, though could be explained better and easier if he showed you. I thnk more people would get this then, for those that want to learn it. go get a lesson with a park qualified instructor, they should be able to show you this and so much more.
actually lead change is a result of two pivot points... ie at your hip socket. it happens due to turning with the lower body... separation is created. in switch you make a bigger lead change, so its easier to see where you're going

i dont know how you could ride switch any other way. thats like the only way to do it.

some people do just ride switch standing like pencils with their heads turned a little. Usually non-park skiers that see kids skiing switch.

true, but if you know how to ski you know you have to stagger your skis to turn, same technique applys to skiing switch.
