On all the vids it shows him slamming with his head below the rim but the guy points out ONE shot of him slamming with two hands. The shot is from a low camera angle and it looks like he's pulling himself up just briefly so his head is close to rim level. That's the PROOF he used to back up his claim that he jump to 61 inches.

Essentially, in order to jump it takes approximately 0.2 seconds for our muscles to contract (hence the name fast twitch muscle fibre). So, if someones max exertion of power in their legs is 100 lbs and they can get 90 lbs of force in the 0.2 seconds. They can theoretically jump higher than someone with a max of 200 lbs who can only use 85 lbs in 0.2 secs...
