  • This Soundtrack is so epic!!!!!

  • the dont make soundtracks like this anymore. i miss the 80s 90s and the turbografx, snes, and genesis era, hell i miss everything

  • I have to confess that these tracks are weak sauce compared to the PC Engine CD tracks. They remade them a little and they got a little more fakey sounding or something.

  • @fruitbane Indeed. I show off the PC Engine CD version of a few tracks in my video :)

  • This game is fucking metal. Too bad it's also way too easy. At least the awesome ending theme makes up for it.

  • DOPE ! *****

  • Bosque = greatest soundtrack ever

  • God's archival footage of The Battle of Armageddon will use this OST for it's soundtrack...

  • Joe Satriani.Turbo duo is cool system

  • Good stuff.

  • Just noticed... The video is of the turboduo version, yet the music is of the sega cd version :S

  • This is unbelieavable.

    I just... can't describe it.

Metal? And a shoot-em-up? Non linear? With powerup options?

GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME

    Thanks for the video!

  • I know I've heard this first song somewhere before, does anyone know what it is?

  • awesome!!

  • Holy mother of the fuking bastard and swearing god :this is the most badass sountrack ever made

  • agreed

  • First song = Gates of babylon by Rainbow :)

  • Lords of Thunder and Rainbow... oh yes !!

    Good soundtrack....

  • The album was initially recorded by a non descript japanese band. Not one song is bad...The album is EPIC!

  • have you heard the turbografx version of the soundtrack? Way better in my opinion. More "metal", less synth. If you want it I can try to find it for you.

  • Hahaha, I was already listening to the first track when I started this video. Such an awesome soundtrack to a solid game.

  • Move closer to me I can make you anyone I think you're ready to see The gates to Babylon The power of what has been before Rises to trap you within A magic carpet ride a genie maybe more A city of heavenly sin Sleep with the devil and then you must pay Sleep with the devil, the devil will take you away Oh gates of Babylon -Rainbow
  • Cool story, bro.

  • Wow the composer was very intimate with Malmsteen style, i still have a magazine back in 93, that has a terminator on the cover, it's about video games, man there was lord of thunder there, and i never looked at the game till now! it's awesome! xD

  • "Bosque" -- Track 2 in this video is one of the greatest songs of all time.

  • Fucking epic music.

  • Satoshi Miyashita is credited as the Lords of Thunder composer on Hudson's CD Game Music Collection '93. I think this person and Groove King are one and the same. I don't know Japanese, so I can't verify it indefinitely.

  • Sounds good to me, at least it's a real name. Thanks for the info.

  • Thank you so much for this, can't have enough of this awesomeness.

  • I love your series, garudoh! Favourite vid is Bucky O'Hare...when I have some more disposable income, I'm looking at getting this, gate of thunder, gradius 3, or...I dunno! I just need a good shmup, but will have to choose, 'cause of the budget...these videos are gonna help with that, for sure.

    Thanks again, love it

  • Glad you like it man. I feature a fair amount of good shmups, so yeah, hopefully the series helps you out in that department.

  • I have never played this game before but, like quite a few others in this series, the music sounds pretty epic from where I am sitting - great work Garudoh, long may your works continute and your efforts be praised!

  • Hey thanks man.

  • This is most definitely from the Sega CD version. I prefer the TurboGrafx version much more. It sounds grittier and fuller to me. Still, Lords of Thunder kicks ass anyway ya slice it.

  • Alright, I added an annotation and fixed the video description. Thanks for the info.

  • It's an honor to help! :]

  • I wonder who is the guitarist playing...sounds like Joe Stump to me...

  • I think this is the Sega CD version. I like the sound track of the Turbo DUO version more, but the soundtrack of the Sega CD version is awesome in it's own right.

  • This game is my favorite game of all time .sombondy should have the idea to put this game on xbox 360 and playstation 3 !!!

come one is there any geniuses out there !

  • This music is so ahead of its time its awesome.

  • i wonder how many people played the game just because of its soundtrack.

but it's a great game but kinda hard, like most games of its genre.

too bad the time of side scrolling shootem ups seems gone. i really liked ikaruga on gamecube.

  • Hell, I bought the game just for the music, I never owned a Turbografx-CD.

    Truly amazing music.

  • The music on this sounds a bit different to the version I have on the Wii's Virtual Console. Are you sure this isn't the Sega CD version? Because this doesn't quite match up with the other youtube videos of the TurboGrafx-CD game either. Maybe I'm just being fussy? But Dezant sounds different for sure!

  • I have a hard time playing this game with both hands, mostly because one of them is usually throwing the horns or holding a lighter. This game takes asses and thoroughly kicks them.

On a sidenote, it took 300 vids before I got to Lords of Thunder? Good god, this channel will have a hojillion videos when all is said and done (if I'm still alive then).
