He was a samurai who fought over 50 battles and never got a single injury, mind you matchlocks were in the battlefield around this time, and 1v1 duels were very popular in many of these battles. Lu bu on the other hand has fought to a draw with zhang fei, and for 20 round against a colilition general before lu bu cut his arm off. In terms of deeds and historical proof Tadakatsu would win hands down. In terms of no proof but video game story line, lu bu. 万歳.

Since I am Dynasty Warriors, I say Lu Bu would prove he is stronger. In worst case, Lu Bu vs Honda duel would never end. Their bodies would give out before their warrior spirits will. In game, theyre both good characters, but you said by looking at Tadakatsu, have you actually played as him in SW? @lingfangkou I must correct you in one instance...Tadakatsu Honda was anything but wealthy...though he became a retainer of the ruler Ieyasu Tokugawa you must remember that the Tokugawa clan rose from the dirt...after the generational reigns of Oda Nobunaga and Toyatomi Hideyoshi the Tokugawa was just a small wild card clan in the sengoku period that rose to power through ambition, persuasion and promises...Tadakatsu was a mighty warrior not only because of his strength but also his strategies.

The Tonbo-Giri was supposedly so sharp it sliced a dragonfly that landed on it in two. TOTALLY Believable. It doesn't matter what's fact or what's fiction. @WeNeedSomeGolfShoes yes, that was Guan Yu's problem. Huang Zhong only recieved as a Tiger General because he was able to keep up with Guan Yu. Strange how that worked. I am personally a huge fan of Wu with Zhou Yu being my favorite character along with Xiao Qiao and Sun Jian and Gan Ning.

While I personally don't like Ma Chao, he does have some skilled warfare and a member of the Tiger Generals (though the lowest next to Huang Zhong).

@WeNeedSomeGolfShoes Ma Chao was compared to Lu Bu before he was ever known for his skills. This was proven even more true when he went against Cao Cao, and NEARLY killed him were it for the efforts of Xu Chu (Zhu) and Cao Hong. I would rank Keiji Maeda a little below Lu Bu and Honda, THOUGH he would still put up a good fight, but I honestly don't see him winning against either. He would just put up a hell of a fight however.

Lu Bu wasn't the nicest guy around, but he did what he thought was the best situation and the law he made was firm. But then again....who was actually nice during that time? Even Liu Bei had faults. While Lu Bu wasn't the nicest guy around, he was well respected and had a small sense of honor though it was rather small.

Lu Bu did indeed fought some battles. Honda was given everything he desired while Lu Bu earned everything he got. Started out from scratch as a small serving officer to being his very own warlord. I consider his only downfall was listening to his wife over his generals in the time of war against Ts'ao.

I'm not too surprised. There is no gray area anywhere between the fans of Samurai Warriors and the fans of Dynasty Warriors. Samurai Warriors defend Tadakatsu Honda. Dynasty Warriors defend Lu Bu. Since I am Dynasty Warriors, I say Lu Bu would prove he is stronger. In worst case, Lu Bu vs Honda duel would never end. Their bodies would give out before their warrior spirits will. Everyone says Honda was not hit a single time, my counter to that is Lu Bu wasn't alive then.

It is said to be so sharp, that when a dragonfly perched on it, the dragonfly immediately got sliced in half. And thus it got its name Tonbogiri or Dragonfly Cutter. To call a spear an axe is one thing, but the Tonbogiri? And regardless of what tier weapon he uses in cut scene, the Tonbogiri is just as connected with Honda just as the Fāngtiān Huàjǐ or Sky Piercer is with Lu Bu so I said what is only true in history which is Honda uses the Tonbogiri. As for a Ji weighing180 lb, Cite it and I might believe it.

Why is everyone saying Lu Bu will win?? WTF he died early on during the Three Kingdoms period, technically he died before it sarted, Tadakatsu however lived all the way until the end of the war up to Sekigahara. Also no one ever betrayed Tadakatsu unlike Lu Bu, almost his entire army betrayed him.
