i saw this band when they came to edinburgh back in 05 and it kicked ass, plant could still hit all the notes, as for them changing the arrangement/riffs etc its their interpretation, i think its good they're trying something new and showing creativity instead of playing it note for note like the original like alot of other old bands do

He's been singing & touring almost DAILY for 45 years. Look up the 02 show. Compare him to any other singer from the 70's that doesn't use digital manipulation to hit the notes (i.e. Ozzy). Better yet, buy any of his recent SOLO albums, and turn it up LOUD. Then you'll hear Robert Plant. It has to be LOUD and good quality. He is the best Rock singer ever, and he doesn't stop. Thank this man for bringing you Heavy Metal, otherwise we'd just have hip-hop doo-wop, and pop to call Rock and Roll.

The O2 show should put you kiddies to rest. My cousin was there, and we are both very real and discerning musicians..he has assured me..Plant doesn't miss a note. As far as this song..noone at your school can top Plant, I take this as fact. They play it a step down at O2 and it worked better for Plant. He's 60 years old for fucks sake.

I could recognize it without the vocals. The vocals are practically the most unrecognizable part of the song. Robert Plant hs completely lost his voice. I know people at my school who can sing this better than he did here. Hate to say it, but it's true.

Right on dubash1... I caught this tour in Texas last year and they were amazing. Plant was spot on and the band was incredible. They only did a couple zep tunes and they were "rearranged" like this one. This tour was to promote his new CD "The Mighty Rearranger".

i have actually been to many rock concerts, and i believe that if you play somebody else's song, you owe it to them to play it as close to the original as possible, or not play it at all.

oh my god! how can you say that this comes even close to the original black dog?! they don't play anything right. the only reason i knew it was black dog was because of the vocals, which aren't very good compared to the original. robert plant isn't as good as he used to be. i'm not trying to brag but i'm 15 years old and i truly believe that i could get up there and play it a hell of a lot better than that "attempt" that they did.
