one can tire of the government rah-rah rants so much like theyre the new reality show-obama meets jersey shore! preparation is key in life, so much we have a classification for it - preppers. i have a job but will make the effort to explore because you never know what life will bring,good or bad.

This one video seriously changed the way i want to live my life. I have been just thinking its just fun and games and not doing something productive with my life, but you brought up a really good point. The generation of teens right now that I am with is so bad it makes me realize that we need to start working changing on how we live life. Not like what were doing today which is worrying about parties and materialistic things we want. Just wanted to say thanks :)

I think that many of the US government agencies should have been shut and reviewed to see if its a necessary function to run the country and what happened to attacking the fraud / waste like scooter companies sending my mom junk mail trying to get her to get a scooter BUT the bill gets sent to Medicare. @@@@ Mohammedabshaun and others I cou;ld be wrong but what do you think ? Love your video. A sales manager studied his sales reps. His top reps do self-improvement. They read 2 books a month. I got laid off Feb 2009. I rarely got interviews. I work 4 me now! I do self-improvement! Want to make more! Be worth more. I have an Insurance Lic & help fix 401k's. I sell fingerprint security devices, I have other online biz (MLM & Affiliate) I have registered 17 URL's. Business is great. Blame O'Bama or Bush, but until you accept responsibility your fooling yourself!

Government shut down doesn't effect me in the least. I will always have something going on somewhere. I know the US Government is headed for a big disaster. IMO just get it over with so we can move on with our lives. But once again they prolonged it and I guess the fat cats are hoping to get one more Christmas Season out of us before they run for the hills. This time next year I hope you all have gathered your nuts.

I work at a government office hier in Holland and our goverment is going to lay off a lot of people. But, I have enough savings and in September I am opening my own business, so I'm fine. Self sufficienency gives me comfort.

I realised I had to risk my own money to make money and I'm quite risk averse.

Chatted to old colleagues and used Linkedin.

I won a contract doing the artwork on digital gauges for a Jaguar concept car CX75.

Still not making proper money but any freelance money I use to manufacture my stuff.

I think Japanese goods are going to be next thing I'll try selling. The Yen is getting cheap again.

@mohammedabshaun I've just got a concept car contract and probably another car in the summer, but I'll gear up my websites to earn money when I'm out of car stuff.

I've been into silver but I've read up on rare earth metals and it turns out they're almost run out, so I'm going to make investment type bars out of rare earth metals from China, as well as the more common metals like copper and tin. I'll use the factories near me to make the stamps to my design.

The new funding extension, which cuts spending by $2 billion, will last through next Friday, April 15.

My bg -- poor white female. All I could figure to do was save 20 bucks per week, NO MATTER WHAT. Skipped meals to do it, continued even while homeless and unemployed. Learned investing, had 10 grand in five years. And so on. One must have $1000 for each year lived, and enough to get by for one to three years, in several currencies (and PMs) and liquid. Peoples' eyes glaze over when I say that. Also, dual citizenship. At least. "I can't do that!" Well, it took time, but I did it.

This recession was a huge wakeup call for me. I been working twice as hard to increase my income so I can be one step ahead should the economy take another crapper. Plus I need the extra income anyways since I dont make that much. I think the bad economy means people should work even harder to get ahead of everyone else. A lot of people will get hopeless and depressed and turn to drugs during a bad economy. Your job is to not fall in that trap and go full steam ahead.
