  • my favorite part is definitely 0:05-0:10 awesome song

  • "To whom GOD distributed HIS talents, Chet certainly got a major portion." This man is a MASTER of his profession. Bar none.

  • I love this version to much.

  • To those that dont feel this is special....my response is....OK, you try playing it...I consider myself a pretty good Chet style player, but have been trying to master this one for four decades and cannot come even close to doing this one justice.

  • the world is full of pretenders, and wannabees, . .then along comes CHET, and WOW!

  • That is not his best work.

  • @23mistakes Chet recorded another version of this. I may have already posted it. Where do you feel this version could use improvement?

  • @daffydoug this version couldnt use improvement, this is chet at his best thank you you for this.

  • @BobDylansDream3 I also posted another version by Chet, from his Solo sessions album. It is excellent.

  • @23mistakes i disagree this is awesome, how can you not like it?

  • souns like he was auditioning for 2nd guitarist in the stray cats (i'm kidding)

  • @radishrose Why would you even write something so stupid?

  • Wow. Second movement is a waltz.

  • Wish someone would sing it.

  • Listen closely, Chet sings it with all six vocal chords :)

  • music changes so much and yes Chet was a great just like merle travis and all the rest but to be honest with the new people now day and I'm sure I'll get a lot of neg. post for this there are some as good and a few even better

tommy E smokin jon from down under and Andy McKee just a few now these people do things on a guitar never heard before and I know it sound like I'm talking circles but its not about who is better its about what you like

  • Try a search. It was posted at one time with Chet playing it on one of the older TV shows. And also some others have covered Chet's arrangement well, so if they are still posted, you can catch the fingerings.

  • I've been trying to learn this for years. Can't touch Chet. Wish somebody could show him playing it.

  • Some can come close, but no one can match Chet. Never, ever get tired of listening to him.

  • Arkansas Traveler is such a standard played by most great country and folk players..but Chet is a One-Man Orchestra..makes the rest of the music world redundant
