As far as the river of gold. I did read some ware of the lost river of gold. The tale tells about an under ground river that can only be reached by a secret cave.

I did the Mojave Road in my Bronco no need for 4wd or a Hummer.

You guys need to take those Hummers up the John Bull trail in Big Bear. 4WD recomended.

I love the Mojave Rd. Camping and sightseeing. Am looking for the River of Gold has anyone seen this site? Your right John Bull is a very nice trail as well and several of our club members have been there. I will try it someday. If you love the desert and all it has to offer try the Mojave Rd., you can make it in almost any vehicle but high clearance and 4x4 is recommended.

Nice. We just did that road over Christmas. Very cold nights... I did it in a Blazer and my friends had their Xterra.
