  • Today I made a green mountain in blender...

  • very cool

  • i know i'm being a noob, but how do you make rectangles?

  • @twitchyAMC space -> add mesh -> cube

  • yeah, i know that, but how do i shape it into something else after i created it? like changing length, width, height

  • @twitchyAMC after you create it. select it by clicking right click on it ( it should turn pink ) then press Tab you move the vertices around by right clicking them. look up superboys tuts

  • ooh cool

  • All I did was enable fluid simulation on the icosphere. Go to your domain object, and set the gravity on the z-axis to 0.00. This enables zero gravity.

    Ba-bam.

Sorry, I left two weeks ago camping.

  • dude how u make the sphere water? im trying to make my dragon BE a water dragon like but no progress so far. How u make the sphere fulidish and not drop but in fact retain its shape?

  • ^no idea what the program/video is or how it works, but i really love that song

  • Blender 3D is the name of the program, and the song is Cobblestoned Waltz by Alias and Ehren

  • looks nice gj

  • Thanks

  • great vid and thanks for the setiings

  • what was your resolution for both renders?

btw thanks for your material settings ^^

  • Hmm...I think it was resolution 200, that looks right to me.

    Hey no problem :D

  • what settings did you use?

  • These are the material settings for the fluid I used, and it was rendered using Yafray. Col (Defaults) R: .800 G: .800 B: .800 A: 0.000 (Alpha Setting) For the transparency and reflectiveness, I used the following settings: Ray Mirror - 7 Ray Mir 0.10 Ray Transp - 7 IOR - 1.30 Render it in Yafray with High-Best Quality. Have a good one
  • btw does the 7 mean samples?

  • I think it's depth...it's changed in Blender v2.46...so I can't tell anymore. It's in your material settings though.

  • hey man, that was awesome. just 2 q. i need 2 know, how do u get a box of water? and how did u make the wave? thanx man. once again. awesome vid!!!

  • Alright, well...do you know how to make a basic fluid simulation? If not, I'm planning on making a tutorial sometime, maybe over the weekend...

If you have, all you have to do is add a cube instead of an icosphere :)

Any mesh can by made into fluid.

  • Oh yeahh...and I all I did was let the water flow :)

If you make a cube of water, and it's around 1/3 of your Domain, then I can guarantee that you'll have a similar wave. Just play around a bit :)

  • i made one that i copy and paste to any1 who needs it

  • ...what?

  • errr...

    a comment

  • I don't have any idea what you mean by it though lol

    ...nvm?

  • SHARP CHANGE OF SUBJECT nice vid

  • very nice dude, rated 5 stars... good use of the fluid settings

  • Thank you :D

  • how do u get the sphere of water to float in the air until the cube hits it?

  • All you have to do is set the Domain gravity to zero. It's in the "Ad" sub-section of the Fluid Simulation Panel ---> Domain :)
