I rode one similar to this one when I went to SFoT in 2003 called La Vibora. That ride wasn't too bad as it was mildly entertaining, but the run through the block brakes were rough. Are the block brakes pretty rough on this one as well?
I was 15 when I went on this; it my first roller coaster ever.And I was screaming "HOLY SHIT!" through out the entire ride lol It's alot of fun execpt I hate the feeling when it jumps in the "S" turn it does slam you quite a bit unless you sit on the left hand side in one of the last two seats then its not bad.
The only roller coaster I've ever been on and I'm still trying to figure out if it counts as one. Only one I ever will be on, too, most likely (not into the whole being upside-down really high in the air). I went on I think during the first season it was there and, during the wait, was treated to all kinds of fun little rumors about the cars coming off the track. ^^;;
Well, neat idea, poor execution. They brake whenever it seems to get exciting. You never feel like you pick up momentum. And since it's a bobsled like course, you don't really have the feeling of going in and out of objects like trees or other parts of the track. You just see this white tube in front of you - which, as you see, needs some TLC. Very boring. "Rolling Blunder" as SFGA folk say.
The reason they brake so often is because with it moving frelly it would pick up speed to quickly and could flip/ Before they put it in at Great Escape they was nothing slowing you down so it picked up speed very very quickly and a car did flip over and did kill someone. They also have them there because if it starts even sprinkiling while cars are going through the track they need it slow because if you are going quickly and its just alittle wet it would flip.
its actualy rather intresting. Its not the fastest ride but it does have a track witch alows it to move freely, it is not attatched to the rails and can spin out or leave the tracks for some air time.
This ride is frickin awesome!!!!

Is this ride super fast and does it go upside down? I have never been on an upside down rollercoaster because I just don't want to get sick!!

they sure are. the trains are also 2 people wide on this one. so it has a better through put but tends to get more out of control feel.
