  • I caught a 13/2 pound up there brown trout

  • Where's the scale? Did the fish have the weight printed on it's side?

  • sounds like peter from family guy lol

  • Comment removed

  • now where near 12 lbs. Still, a nice fish

  • nice fish. too bad it's dead by now. take the damn gloves off. wet your hands, then grab the fish. really, it's very simple people.

  • @SadMansBurd

Come on. I'm an ethics nut. This handling was better than most on YT. Nice release. Nice fish. Not 12lb though. Keep releasing and doing the best job on it you can and there will be more nice fish like that. Maybe bigger too. Prob could take the gloves off next time. Otherwise, perfect. Congrats.

  • @SadMansBurd if it were me, ide eat it, no sense in releasing a fish like that

  • i love when people rip on the people who post vids of REALLY NICE FISH/TROUT! Thats not 12lbs they say...who gives a shit...its a nice fish and i'd be super happy to have caught it....nice fish man!

  • seriously. did you actually think that fish was 12 lb. cmon.

  • Thats no 12lber. Why say it is? Dont bother answering. Its a tiddler.

  • 18 mile creek baby!!!! HOOOHAHHH!!!!

  • you should of cooked it

  • nice

  • if this is a 12 lbr i get 10-12lbrs constantly out of lake erie creeks and tribs.

    sometimes 4 a day.

    hahahahahah

    this is a 5to 6lb fish.

  • that is like a 6.237 pound fish. lol Who cares! It's a huge trout either way.

  • that fish was at least 6 pounds

  • :P i dont care what everyone else here says, even if it wasn't 12lbs its bigger than i'll ever get

  • There is no way on earth that fish weighed 12 pounds. What were you on when you weighed that haha? Maybe 5 lbs. at best...

  • 5 lbs? are you joking?

That's a big damn fish. It could be a 12 pounder...

    Great catch, man.

  • Yeah it didn't look like 12 pounds... I would say 6 at the most.

  • are you a fucking a wizard shut the fuck up, the idea is the kid caught a huge trout, so stop acting like a jackass!!!!

  • NO WAY MAN THAT IS LIKE A 10 POUND FISH and who

T.F.C 's how big, how heavy exactly. you guys are missing the whole idea behind fly fishing. its the zen moment, i can make fish take a dry with my mind. i swear i fished 20+ and if im in the zone it happens. so lets all stop bragging(esp. u hali-butt face), anyone can drop a chunk of rotting crap on a line a pull whatever eats it in, i call it "ripping lips".

  • ive caught a 12 pound brown trout with 4lb test and an ultralight rod

  • that is a 5 pounder max.

  • hey no doubt thats a big fish more like about 8 too 9 pound!! good catch

  • that fish isnot even 5 pounds thoo

  • wow ive been fishing my entire life and right before letting the fish go i weighed her so i think i can read a scale, and by the way i am 6'2" and that fish was big whether you can tell from the split second i pulled her out of the water or not.

  • Ugh...

  • I do agree with you though that trout fishing is much more challenging then hallibut. I fish in Vermont, along with in the Ocean, and I know what I'm talking about bud.

I recently caught a 23" small mouth on the River, I have also caught a 43" Striped bass in New Jersey. I am proud of my two catches, and see no reason to post a video and lie about how big they are.

  • Billj500;

I have fished for several years (10 or 11 (Probably 3 or 4 times a week)). Which is over two thirds of my life. My goal is not to hurt this kids feelings, nor to make him stop fishing, I'm just saying, no need to exaggerate the size of a fish, to impress the other 'veiwers.'

  • so what if a 15 year old catches a trout im 13 and i caught a 80lb halibut you dont have to mention his age like omg kids suck at fishing well they dont i fished for 3 years and im allready a better fisherman than him.

  • I hate to burst your less than humble bubble little boy but fooling a river brown with a fly is much different than dredging a halibut from the bottom of the ocean with spinning gear. 80lb Halibut are a dime a dozen, kid. Now keep your mouth shut until your pappi shows you some humility!

  • 8 lb tops.

Dont be an idiot and lie about your fish, just fish more and catch bigger ones.

    You are worthless

  • Hey people, who cares if it is 8, 10 or 12 pounds? Watch the video, or don't, and move on to the next one. Stop busting the guys balls. Bottom line, it was a BIG fish. If he wants to remember it as a 12lb fish who cares? All you jackasses need to get a life. Every video on here that specifies approx. poundage of a fish caught is barraged by inbred losers arguing it's smaller than the poster claimed. GO FISH!

  • lovely fish

  • The young man has a natural touch!

  • dry or nymph fly ?

  • thats not 12 i catch them that big every day and i live here so bs

  • No.

  • They're always bigger in the stories. 12 lbs my ass! Still though, nice trout.

  • Have to say that is not 12 pounds, sorry. I'd have to say it is 8 at best. Still, a nice trout.

  • i dont care what you say dint look like no 12 pound brown 4 maybe

  • looks like near webb bros. store on the hiwassee, reliance tenn, i guess not.

  • Never 12 pounds!

    Nice fish all the same.

  • well done.

it's the way it has to be

    let them go..quickly...well done

  • if that was anything over 6 pounds you are nuts for releasing that thing

  • Better for the ecosystem and future generations of fisherman to have the opportunity to keep catching fish.

    (Nice catch by the way!)

  • well done...

  • i doesnt matter how heavy it was. even 5 lbs is an AWESOME size for a brown. i do however believe that this was a 12 lb catch

  • i agree

  • Burt Dam?

  • Yup. Down closer to the railroad bridge

  • probably around 10 but still like bill said who gives a shit

    10 is still huge

  • That's a nice looking brownie, but she's not near 12 pounds. I'd be stoked on it though.

  • Don't listen to those guys, they all have FES (Fish Envy Syndrome). Nice catch!

  • nice fish

  • Hey people, who cares if it is 8, 10 or 12 pounds? Watch the video, or don't, and move on to the next one. Stop busting the guys balls. Bottom line, it was a BIG fish. • Well said billi500.... kick ass comment

  • you are lucky if that is 8 to 9 lb max. No way is it near 12 lb.

  • that is like an 8 pound fish watch the monster trout video by trophytrouthunter to see a true 10 pound brown

  • I went to trophy trout hunter and didn't see any 10lb browns. There was a 9 pounder that was skinny. There are some on webshots.

  • 12lbs? lol

  • Lmao, That is not a 12 pound fish

  • no way that is 12 pounds.

  • twelve pounds my ass

  • Dirty Burt(ie)... I love it
