  • i wish we could have gotten a piece of a timeshift stone so we could see what all of Hyrule looked like

  • sailing reminded me of windwaker!

  • @Friskyman123 besides the fact that it aint sailing

  • we need to be like the past: and have robots!

  • I almost cried when i stepped inside skipper's house and saw his son's note:

Dear dad, good luck at work, vrrm.

  • @TheBlueFrancis Didn't notice that...

  • @TheBlueFrancis I read the son's note too... :epiccry: D:

  • Make way for the potential in you that is desperate to get out...show it the way...

  • Superb, phoo-weep!

  • I like that the past actually feels more futuristic

  • Lanayru makes me sad because it used to be a beautiful green blue and lively place and now its nothing but ruins and sand. its rather depressing

  • Here it is again; the beauty of the Lanayru area.

I think I almost started crying when i got to the Sand Sea, in my opinion it was the best part of the desert.

  • Yeah, this is my favorite song in the game at this point. Im in the ship right now.

  • The most shallow sea ever.

  • the sand ship took me an hour including the rest of the stuff on the sandsea....

  • *cries* soo sad... a sea turned to a desert and alot of dead robots

  • I think I hugged my T.V. when I heard this... O_o

  • No matter how beautiful the desert may seem, it can be as cruel as the land & the sea.

when you feel like your sinking, fearing death, reach within, releasing & realizing the real you. Death shan't conquer!

  • Note to self: Whenevr I go to the the sea LISTEN TO THIS SONG! =)

  • In my honest opinion, the Lanayru area had some of the best music in the game. This is among my favorite of that bunch.

  • How can the life of a man be destroyed bit by bit because of the effect of time itself... it's truly one of the most powerful things that the human mind can't even understand completely and yet we try to do so to stop it

  • this song always makes me worry this'll be earth in a few years D:

  • What a great theme GOD hear just makes me want to play now

  • Love it.

  • I could sleep to this sort of music

  • Doesn't CraftedMovie's "Western Creeper theme" have the same tune in the middle as this song? I think they were inspired :)

  • HATE THIS SONG AND PLACE ALL TOGETHER! but still love this game

  • @PainbowFox I think u're about the only one

  • @Jake123557

lol i guess. i just cant stand this place. it took me a whole entire 2 weeks to beat this one place. and the place is depressing looking and the music to so it got annoying :P

  • @PainbowFox Took me five days to beat the entire normal mode. I had watched trailers and stuff, so I knew all the basic strategies and such. That and I'm really into puzzles and I like problem-solving. Though people have beat it less than 48 hours, both in-game and IRL. They're more insane than you probably think I am.

  • @PainbowFox Yeah, I see ur point. Personally it took me 2 days, finishing it, and I enjoyed every moment of it. But of course, everyone has different opinions, I guess. :p

  • @PainbowFox took me 2 hours....you must really suck

  • @Verrokerface

    i do man...i do

  • @PainbowFox i love the song and place

  • the animation that happens things are touched by a timestome are the same as the twilight portal

  • i agree with all here. i would also love to see the whole sandsea as it was in it's water days and not just bits of it. must be my love for the ocean and wind waker

  • This music is pure magic.

  • bzzzt- CLANG!!

  • BZZRT

  • Is there any difference between the present and past versions of this theme? I've listened to both, but I still can't identify any changes.

  • @MrL1193

The beginnings are different. That's the only big difference as far as I can tell.

  • @MrL1193 Percussion, mainly.

  • This reminded me so much of Indiana Jones. Especially the part where you have to get to the Skippers hows and you need to use the whip to get up there. Would've been even cooler if you couldve used Epona for this part.

  • @stefanski48 eh...

  • I could sail there for hours just to hear this song :)

  • Well, this is my favourite soudtrack from Skyward sword!

  • this music fits the area perfectly:

a place where nothing is left but a barren expanse of sand. the only other characters are piles of rock in the current time, kept alive just barely by timestones. the theme of loss is strong, and is put into this song perfectly.

  • Please tell me I'm not the only one that hears the "Will of Fire" influence (Naruto).

    /watch?v=UoTsEcH3yU8

  • @shinphatman /watch?v=nyFBV8P6EuQ <-- cleaner version

  • @shinphatman

Not exactly that one, but I when first hearing it in the game I directly thought of Naruto in general :)

  • @oRiGiNaLMrTOM looks like HIdden Sand Village, right? lol. Man, this is such a great game.

  • Anchors aweight, zzzt!

  • Vrrrm!

  • I absolutely love the sand sea. Which is weird, because I prefer snowy wastelands, but there's something about that place....it feels bittersweet, yet powerful. And nostalgic, especially at Skipper's retreat.

  • Best soundtrack ingame without a doubt! IMO :)

Truly delivers a fantastic feel to the Lanayru area!

  • For some reason I think this song reminds me of wind waker. But I never owned that game myself.... I really want it.... I think I'm gonna buy it soon.

  • crew or the man of captain skipper : Thank you for Everything captain

  • Thank you, Nintendo!

  • This was probably the best part of the game

  • A brilliant piece.

Gives the Sand Sea that despair touch.

  • When I first stepped out onto the Ancient Harbor, I could already sense that twinge of despair in the atmosphere.

Such a beautiful area. I could listen to this song for hours.

  • It games like this and Skyrim that make me proud I'm not a COD fan boy...

  • @Motherdope7741 fantasy games like zelda are the best, but cod is a very fun game too.

  • I was just playing skyrim thinking how awesome of a game that was. And now hearing this, I remembered what a truly awesome game is like.

  • best part of the game! sailing the sand sea, visting ancient places, riding mine carts fighting moldarache again, and the dungeon is just amazing!

  • Whenever I sail through the Sand Sea, I always feel a little sad... I want to see what it was like as a grand ocean, not just in small bits.

  • @WarriorNightstar Dude, it's a Math teacher, it's kinda required of them to be boring! Haha.

  • This reminds me of the Street Fighter anime's Hadouken theme.

  • 1080p!!!

  • man this gives me the goosebumps of epicness everytime i listen to this!!!!!

  • @GodzonFire90 I think you mean Groosebumps.

  • One of my favorite music in Zelda series

  • I'm liking this. It was my favorite tune in the game, though there's one small version of the song that I can never find. It's the version that plays while inside Skipper's shack.

Basically it's the background melody, but I loved it just like I love the past/present version of this song here. That particular version I'm referring to really brought out the feeling inside of that old shack lost in time.

  • now this sounds better than the present time

  • I'm swimming... IN THE SAND?!

  • @Nintenrock Chuck Norris can swim on land, but Link can swim in quicksand :)

  • love this song so much!!

  • I wish there was a secret timeshift stone big enough when hit to make lanayru completely in the past instead of in bits and pieces

  • @vengence9331 Same here

  • @vengence9331 I know right? I actually went looking all over the region for that.

  • @Weisniowiki Seriously? Even if there is no such Timeshift Stone (I know there isn't such a big one), it still is nice to go through all of Lanayru, right?

  • @vengence9331 Maybe you could mod your game with codes to activate all current timeshift stones, who knows ? Just imagines the Temple of Time's frontcourt, it must be beautiful :O

  • @Lyseolia it must be gorgeous, but i can't mod but i bet people are trying to do that maybe with some time....

  • @vengence9331 Maybe we could search on youtube for a video with a « all timeshift stones activated » mod... later of course

  • @Lyseolia i like your thinking sir :D

  • Why can't they have good music like this in temples? It would make the temples much less annoying! D:

  • @angelkat64 Temple can't be that peaceful XD

  • @angelkat64 I personally thought that the music for all of the dungeons was pretty damn strong in this game.

  • @angelkat64 I think I remember reading somewhere that the composers didn't want the songs in the dungeons to be easy to hum along to. So here you have a very relaxed piece, where you can easily memorize the notes and hum, whereas in the temples there are a lot of things happening in the piece, so they aren't peaceful or easy to hum along to.

  • This is my favorite track in the game.

  • ... Anyone here who thinks the boatdriver is like Linebeck? ... He cant stay with me while kicking mob's ass and let me search for something he wanna have ..

  • @MrGullideckel007 Unlike Linebeck, Skipper has a good reason : if he goes too far from his ship, he becomes a junk robot again.

  • @FyrusCarmin ... Yes, this is my only difference ;))

  • @FyrusCarmin Is Skipper the only who can see the sand? because the other robots in Lanayru Dessert act like its not there and one robot even updated the map to look like the past because he thought it was wrong.

  • @katakata231 Well at least in the French version, Skipper aknowledges that fact himself.

  • @FyrusCarmin He seems to be the only robot who is aware of that fact. Every other robot (except Scrapper) seems to think they're still in whatever time they're from.

  • @thisisntagoodname Since he seems one of the two directly involved in the story, I suppose Link explained that to him.

    Only a guess, though.

  • Return of Phantom Hourglass and Wind Waker

  • This is actually the only song that stood out to me in Skyward Sword. It was so beautiful I just stopped and listened to it.

  • YES!! Thank you so much for posting this!

  • one of the best music in this game!

  • WOW, this really shows how awesome Zelda's music has become.

Riding in a sea of sand... yet there's water wherever you go.

Nintendo, how much more awesome could you have gotten with Skyward Sword?

  • @YuTe3712 The great sea has become sink sand.

  • @SuperHushPuppy Wrong. The Great Sea appeared centuries after the Lanayru Sand Sea.

  • @GanonAkumaFan That's not what Fi said.

  • @SuperHushPuppy How can Fi know about a Sea that appears centuries after the events of SS?

  • @GanonAkumaFan When you first embark on Lanayru sand sea she says that it was a vast sea but now it's a desert sea.

  • @SuperHushPuppy Fi never said it was the Great Sea, she/it just said it use to be a sea...

  • @SuperHushPuppy She talks about the Lanayru Sea, not the Great Sea.

  • @GanonAkumaFan Great sea is not a name. Lanayru was once a great sea but not anymore.

  • @SuperHushPuppy Stop mixing things up, will you? This is the LANAYRU SAND SEA. What I talk about is the GREAT SEA, which appeared CENTURIES AFTER the events of SS. When will you understand?

  • @GanonAkumaFan The Sky eventually became the Great Sea

  • @TwilightLink37 I wonder, what happens to Skyloft in the future? Does it goes back to the surface in Minish Cap or Ocarina of Time? No clue...

  • @GanonAkumaFan Maybe it stays up there.

  • @GanonAkumaFan Minish Cap is after Skyward Sword then it Ocarina of Time.

  • @djmaster100 Wrong. Skyward Sword, then Minish Cap, then Four Swords, and then Ocarina of Time, with 3 different endings.

  • @GanonAkumaFan Blah geez I made a small mistake leaving out Four Swords. Also I know there three different endings.

  • @YuTe3712 By giving Link a jetpack :D

  • @YuTe3712 it indeed IS awesome !! zelda 's realy good at making game music !! :D

  • @YuTe3712 no, the question is, how fucking retarded are you?

  • Astonishing. Pure. Prodigy music. Worth the time to listen.

  • awwww yeah

  • awesome song

  • funally my favourite soundtrack appears... thx

  • @SuperSavajin *finally
