When I reached this part of the game, I immediate thought of the lyrics to America's song "Horse With No Name," especially the third verse... "After nine days, I let the horse run free,
'Cause the desert had turned to sea.
There were plants and birds, and rocks and things,
How can the life of a man be destroyed bit by bit because of the effect of time itself... it's truly one of the most powerful things that the human mind can't even understand completely and yet we try to do so to stop it
lol i guess. i just cant stand this place. it took me a whole entire 2 weeks to beat this one place. and the place is depressing looking and the music to so it got annoying :P
@PainbowFox Took me five days to beat the entire normal mode. I had watched trailers and stuff, so I knew all the basic strategies and such. That and I'm really into puzzles and I like problem-solving. Though people have beat it less than 48 hours, both in-game and IRL. They're more insane than you probably think I am.
@PainbowFox Yeah, I see ur point. Personally it took me 2 days, finishing it, and I enjoyed every moment of it. But of course, everyone has different opinions, I guess. :p
i agree with all here. i would also love to see the whole sandsea as it was in it's water days and not just bits of it. must be my love for the ocean and wind waker
This reminded me so much of Indiana Jones. Especially the part where you have to get to the Skippers hows and you need to use the whip to get up there. Would've been even cooler if you couldve used Epona for this part.
a place where nothing is left but a barren expanse of sand. the only other characters are piles of rock in the current time, kept alive just barely by timestones. the theme of loss is strong, and is put into this song perfectly.
I absolutely love the sand sea. Which is weird, because I prefer snowy wastelands, but there's something about that place....it feels bittersweet, yet powerful. And nostalgic, especially at Skipper's retreat.
For some reason I think this song reminds me of wind waker. But I never owned that game myself.... I really want it.... I think I'm gonna buy it soon.
I'm liking this. It was my favorite tune in the game, though there's one small version of the song that I can never find. It's the version that plays while inside Skipper's shack.
Basically it's the background melody, but I loved it just like I love the past/present version of this song here. That particular version I'm referring to really brought out the feeling inside of that old shack lost in time.
@Weisniowiki Seriously? Even if there is no such Timeshift Stone (I know there isn't such a big one), it still is nice to go through all of Lanayru, right?
@vengence9331 Maybe you could mod your game with codes to activate all current timeshift stones, who knows ? Just imagines the Temple of Time's frontcourt, it must be beautiful :O
@angelkat64 I think I remember reading somewhere that the composers didn't want the songs in the dungeons to be easy to hum along to. So here you have a very relaxed piece, where you can easily memorize the notes and hum, whereas in the temples there are a lot of things happening in the piece, so they aren't peaceful or easy to hum along to.
... Anyone here who thinks the boatdriver is like Linebeck? ... He cant stay with me while kicking mob's ass and let me search for something he wanna have ..
@FyrusCarmin Is Skipper the only who can see the sand? because the other robots in Lanayru Dessert act like its not there and one robot even updated the map to look like the past because he thought it was wrong.
@FyrusCarmin He seems to be the only robot who is aware of that fact. Every other robot (except Scrapper) seems to think they're still in whatever time they're from.
@SuperHushPuppy Stop mixing things up, will you? This is the LANAYRU SAND SEA. What I talk about is the GREAT SEA, which appeared CENTURIES AFTER the events of SS. When will you understand?
i wish we could have gotten a piece of a timeshift stone so we could see what all of Hyrule looked like
