If you've done a video on the 1-1-1 doubling rule, it would've helped here. For those who don't know, the 1-1-1 doubling rule is: if a word has 1 syllable, 1 vowel, and 1 consonant before the end, double the last consonant when adding a suffix that begins with a vowel. For instance: bet has one syllable, one vowel, and one consonant at the end, ergo double the "t" when adding a suffix, such as bet + ing = betting.
