some one with so little or even nothing can put a smile on their face and act like they have everything...people with everything can sometimes not do this...makes me proud to be bangladeshi...in bangladesh i believe.
I am very shameful of myself as Bangladeshi, Because this great person Dr Yunus is now being bullied by Bangladesh's nasty, dirty, rotten politics. May Allah bless him and save us from our criminal politicians. About 70% of our politicians are corrupted, expressly or impliedly involved in crime, drugs business etc etc. May Allah bless us.
DR.younus, did yu rally did much anything forbangladsh? I have real reservations bcz yu interest is very high and many people are destryed due to debt i guess
@altrnatvthinker shut up u twat..go and do something...before u fucking open ur filthy mouth,....bastard like u are disgrace...atleast he gave them some opportunity unlike ur idol seikha motherfucking hasina and whore khaleda who has done nothing for us than robbing the poor
English is a language just like Bengali,Hindi or Urdu and so on and forth. Hence, it does not make any difference if somebody can speak English or not. You do not need to learn more than 300 words for your basic communication in English. I go, he goes, I eat, She eats. I love, she loves. Unless you want to attain higher education abroad, it is not necessary to learn English. Now everything can be done in Bengali. Technology has made things easier. We are no longer poor!
Great documentary! full of hope for bangladesh.I'm a filipino, my country has its ups and downs, but we are near in winning the fight against poverty, and I feel for bangladesh. I would like to help, I can teach english and arts, but I don't have any idea how to become a missionary in Bangladesh. Is there anyone here who can give me some information?
even when the british were here, we had a high living standard,
were behind because we dont have good leadership, mujib was a good leader, but he was inexperienced in leading a country, and therefore didnt know what to do after we had our independence, plus we bengalis didnt give him enough time, we didnt realise that it takes time to build up a whole country after war, so there was unrest and the military took advantage and executed him,
Good Content! But like most western reporting on BD, the beginning of the docu was a downer. Again and again, filth and poverty is used from the beginning. Not ONE beautiful or historical site was used even for 1 second! Thats not balanced reporting! It just reenforces that there is nothing but filth and poverty in this nation with the 45 largest economy of the wrld, it not like any other LDC. But the Western media always begin the reporting with the world's poorest country! Waiting fr a btr Doc
bangladesh is nt a poor country as we always think. wat we dnt hav that is,..... a good way 2 lead the country.. we hav all kinds of resources,, bt we dnt hav enough equipments 2 use that .. so.. the people r nt getting jobs. if u hav things 2 do .,, u will earn money,,, u dnt hav ,, u dnt get!!! its lik this!!!!
so my opinion... use the sources,, incourage the people to work ... dnt b hesitate!!! and earn money!!!
yeh theyv got food growing in their country but because the lands going under water more people are moving towards the city and the city is becoming overcrowded
even the rickshaw walla can speak better than the bengali college students ! it shows how bengalis have potential .......the educated is uneducated and the uneducated is educated!
The Rikshaw driver speaks very good English, incredible. I'm from Bangladesh and I can tell the poor are better driven to be modernized then the middle class.

the bangladesh region has not always been poor. infact, before the british came, bengal was the richest amoung the world, and in india.
let me explain where we went wrong.
the british divided bengal, and made the west industrialized so the east can make the farm
so when bangladesh left india, west bengal had the industry and east bengal only had the farm
then with pakistan from 1947-1971 most of the industrialization took place in the west, where the grew much fairer
this is why bd is so behind
