1. Does this watch have the feature that turns the backlight on when you raise your wrist?
2. Can you describe the countdown timer? I'm looking for one with at least multiple coundown formats: auto repeat, stop to zero, and start chrono once counted-down. Does it have these?
thank you so much nickdoli24. your review was really helpful to convince myself to buy one. it's a shame it's not possible to find all the models in mexico...
Hey mate do you think the new GShocks have anything new inside (apart from the cool look and some useless features). I have the mudman and the main reason I guy it is design and toughness. I have a protrek for the features.
Hey good review! Always good to see G reviews. By the way you didn't mention the alarm, only the hourly signal. But anyway good stuff, you even covered the recessed buttons which some people have trouble pressing. I only have the 5600-E (+ other Gs) but this makes me think about buying a GW5600-J - nice review mate!
atomic timekeeping meaning the time is calibrated automatically
and
tough solar meaning its charged by the sun

ok, I've had mine for a few days. Glad I got it.
I also see that while yours has a blue back-light, mine is very green... interesting.

@MegaDyneSystemsExe
Yeah, its odd how it differs in Casio watches, even those that are the same model.

Did you worry about it being a fake because you bought it on ebay? Why is it that they are so much cheaper on ebay compared to the shops?

Do you know how to switch how long the watch illuminates for?
I believe there is a choice between 1.5 seconds or 2.5 seconds.

@villegasa03 did you try amazon?

This is my favorite of all the 5600 model as it has the largest digits. Great price for a solar/atomic watch.

Nice review.
Amazon still has this watch for about $62.00 shipped to your door. It's a bargain! ;-)
