Whoa! Just heard it on an internet blues radio. This is good. No. Good is this. That's when music didn't need to have a 'lead ass' to make it popular. Shove gaga and beyonce. This is it. Damn!

WOW! Brings back memories. One of our guys just posted them, won't hear them ANYWHERE else. These were off OUR soundboard! Enjoy!
Peter is still playing with a group called The Classic Rock Allstars. A group of 60's and 70's artist that you will recognize. The are worth your while to check out.
The legendary Motown RARE EARTH appeared numberous times on public TV throughout the late 60's and on through the 70's. Famous shows like Midnight Special/Host Wolfman Jack, The Ed Sullivan Show-they performed "I know I'm losing you" all these ice follies girls skateing around them/very surreal I thought I was dreaming & also on Don Kirshner Rock Concert etc.,. which I think this Classic Rare Earth live performance of "Get Ready" is taken from. Totally trailblazing Rare Earth are, thank you!
Master Iconic MOTOWN Composer Mr. Smokey Robinson: all those Classic hits of his are monumental & the music artists & bands that breath life into those songs. Great memories & heartwarming time. Thanks! Also love legendary MOTOWN Composer Mr. Norman Whitfield who take Rare Earth personally under his strong wings when they did their Classic album titled "Ma" and also "Ecology" (Ed is on the cover), "One World" "Get Ready" (all those smiles from Rare Earth), "Band Together" etc,. all treasures!
Don't agree but respect NHLPENS opinion. MA alone is another great extended piece by RE and so are I'VE BEEN(LOSSING YOU) or JUST WANT TO CELEBRATE. Anybody knows where to get full version of this, please. I believe this and IRON BUTTERFLY's IN A GADDA DA VIDA two of my first rock albums when I was just 10, just after my DISNEYLAND stage LOL !
Pete Rivera was notorious for losing a drumstick or 2 while playing, I noticed he lost 2 sticks during this video. I had the fortune of meeting him in 2000.I interviewed him on my radio show,he took the time to explain how Rare Earth came about & the record label of the same name. Rare Earth records was created to showcase the white rock&soul artists of Motown. Them being the most sucsessful on label. he was a cool dude, big dude. I got him to sign a couple of my orig. RE albums. Im a Pete fan
I know this is a cover version of "The Temptations", but no offence, this is the only good song performed by Rare Earth, Peter Rivera is maybe the best drummer I've ever heard. But I have failed to find any songs even remotely similar to this track.
brilliant music I personally agree the long version is the best.Todays music is just Gothic shit, I grew up listening to this kinda music.Feel sorry for todays kids growing up on Disney channel high school musical and other obnoxious dirt.

For some reason the people at Motown which was Rare Earth's label stopped making Rare Earth CD's. The Rare Earth "In Concert" album was live and has the songs you want. Look for used copies of the CD on Ebay or Amazon.
Wow thats weird, im playing this in jazz band

Audio needs to be delayed 0.25 seconds. VLC Player can do that.
Use flashgot to download .mpg, then play file with VLC. Make adjustment in synchronization window > Advance Audio -0.25 secs.
That's a "minus," to delay the audio.
So much technology, worth the flashback.
Legalize it.

I'm glad you recognize that. Before disco came and dumbed down the soul, rock and funk many musicians were stretching into new dimensions of sound.
I saw Rare Earth many times as a teenager and I was proud to call them one of my favorite groups of any genre.
Late 60's early 70's music was advancing by leaps and bounds. Pete Rivera got street cred in all neighborhoods.

The video of Rare Earth/Peter Rivera singing Hey Big Brother at CalJam has been removed. Why? and will it be returned?
Also, are there any commercially available cds that were recorded at a concert (as opposed to canned studio recordings) of Rare Earth & Peter Rivera singing Get Ready & Hey Big Brother (perhaps from late 60's to early 70's) ?

For some reason the people at Motown which was Rare Earth's label stopped making Rare Earth CD's. The Rare Earth "In Concert" album was live and has the songs you want. Look for used copies of the CD on Ebay or Amazon.
