  • "I'd fuck her... her.. her.. ew not the girl in the yellow, fix ur eyes bitch... her... her"

  • This is the next Call of Duty game lol xD

  • haha, you see his arms move at the end of the clip

  • This is the most ridiculous thread ever.

  • virtual reality is for the weak who dont want to ace the fatcs

  • TRON

  • Inside description: "A man paralysed almost entirely from the neck down" from 0:58 until the end he moves his hole body AND his hand, wtf are you saying paralysed?

  • @MrDar3k There's a difference between controlled and uncontrolled movement. If you cannot voluntarily move you are considered paralyzed even if your muscles can still move involuntarily.

  • wow this looks very much alike quest world from Jonny quest and this guy looks very much alike surd Thumbs up if you agree

  • Ur joking he moved at the end of the vid

  • Technology to let the paralyzed walk has been there for years. EEG-based gaming controls, Cyberdyne's exoskeleton, the robotic mule, etc. etc.

    It is not wanted.

It is equally not wanted that the hungry are fed, that the rainforest is saved or that the world lives in peace.

    Exploitation, torture, destruction.

    Wake up, sheep!

  • @trakkaton Thumbs up trakkaton's Comment everyone! Wake up, sheep Indeed!

  • @trakkaton agreed

  • Oh crap. Someone find Neo.

  • Isn't what scientists call The Singularity?

  • Ah come that is full of crap

  • @UndeniableTrue1 it's research it's not suppose to be fancy...

  • Why can't our brains just be computers? Don't our brains generate electricity at a cellular level?

  • @ToxicOdiousOne

Our brains ARE computers. They are just biological computers, evolved through natural selection over billions of years and thus much more "messy" than the artificial computers we make.

Since they are "messy", they are harder to understand and even harder to manipulate. But it is not a question of if, but when.

  • @WozulPonz Ah true, but would it not just be better to change our machines? By growing a modified brain at a genetic level designed not to think, only respond to commands, and be able to interface with a machine, we would have the fasted PC in the world. Our own brains could in theory interface as well. The brain would serve as a processor primarily, but it could also be for graphics using a modified occipital lobe. It is possible, just expensive.

  • @WozulPonz You forget that it's "messiness" is what makes it beautiful and most importantly Affective, it is creative, by creating order out of seemingly chaotic informational inputs that we perceive as reality. (think of Learning)

It also is efficient because of it's messiness it doesn't care if it makes minor miscalculations or mistakes (it can move on).

And another thing that computer will not have is inter-connectivity: like ours on the neurological system that is our brain, and the body.

  • @WozulPonz

You are wrong on so many levels that it's pointless to even begin with them.

  • If we can make it work on UAVs, it could be actually quite a change to the way we monitor a battlefield...

  • Paranoid nutjob ^

Go back into your cave if technology scares you so much. You certainly shouldn't be on the internet. =P

  • I wonder if computer screens are bad for your brains lol

But I don't they they would be, otherwise they wouldn't recommend online schools/jobs (some online jobs are like 6 hours, too), and really what's the difference between 1 hour and 3 hours? You're still looking at the screen. And people are on all the time.

  • The screen can cause temporary vision problems after extended use.

  • @Lilcutegrl93 They can be but you have to be looking at them for a very long time and you have to be sitting too close to the screen for this to be bad for you.

  • @Lilcutegrl93 mabey the computers fuck with people and eventualy everyone will die off around 2012 because its so bad.

  • @BombFirst1999 It happens, btw there shall be some people named "survivors" that havent tried this and didnt die,so start planning how to maintain a colony,ok?

  • @cillieve have fun bud

  • i bet he had porn playing in the visors

  • this sucks we need to start working harder on video game couse am 16 and i want to live to see virtual reality video games before i die dont tell me that this is were we stop in virtual gameing we should be able to make virtual reality game in the next 100 years if its posible

  • check out project natal and emotivepoc we will have virtual reality in no time

  • this isn't a game -.-

  • as a matter of fact i believe they are already using brain implants to allow paraplegics to interface with computers and control robotic arms and stuff like that.

  • this is cool, that he can control the program with his thought processes. if we could figure out a way to artificially stimulate the sensory parts of the brain that control touch taste , smell sight ect ect through neurostimulation we could really be talking about the possibility of real virtual reality. where one would be able to selct a program and just go with it. the idea of having an interface port in the back of your head may not be that far off.

  • Never. Any digital system can be hacked, and counter-technology will never catch up with the hacking. But if you seriously want things implanted in your head that do not have to be there, go ahead (hahaha go a -HEAD).

  • He ran over the black lady.

  • He moved quite a bit for having no sensation or function in any of his limbs.

  • "A man paralysed ALMOST entirely...". Read clossssely.

  • damn we sure are behind in technology when it comes to virtual reality...

  • Comment removed

  • Only you would notice that. Grow up.

  • Tthank you very much... you can teach me, I have all the time in the world :P

  • google will help you grow up =)

  • Did he cross his legs at the end?

  • LOL he sure did move >.>

  • May I know the name of this thing? Has it been a completed product yet?

  • COOL

  • u shure are an idiot.

  • if they interface of the neurofeed direction controls prompts to the control of the electro-motorized wheel-chair he could navigate around more than just a virtual situation...got it? do i need to spell it out to you in simpler words? go back to elementary school, try to learn something this time, and THEN come make rude comments when you have at least a hope of doing so with some semblance of style. GOOD DAY!

  • keep telling that to yourself.

  • The grammar in that explanation was so bad I couldn't even tell what you were trying to say.

  • They. Can. Hook. The. Control. Prompts. From the neuro-feed system that is controlling his VR avatar to the electro-motor controls of his wheel-chair instead; thus facilitating the ability for him to navigate, unaided, through the real world, and not be constrained just to virtual reality. And for those who found the comment about him being able to "get women" offensive, try to grow a sense of respect, people with disabilities dont like to be treated as invalids ok, they're people ok.

  • That's already the goal of the project. It still has flaws.

  • Hahahahahahaha. I love how you put all this extra shit in here to cover up that fact that you're a bigot - which we can tell by your first comment. You were trying to be funny with your first post, and failed badly. All the other dribble that you've posted is just so sad. Your original post has no respect whatsoever (which you claim others should have). This is why I don't believe anything you wrote in any of your follow up posts.

  • Hahahahahaah. shut the fuck up.

  • My mum only has sex with humans, sorry. So you must have been thinking about your own mum there.

Its got nothing to do with bandwagons or status and everything to do with pointing out your a bigot who is pretending not to be.

    Anyway, I'm over this.

  • well good job, citizen, i hope you are awarded the AntiBigot FingerPointer Award and cash it in to buy some community college courses, which you so sorely need.

    Good day.

  • graphics look like from 1996

  • "Paralyzed from the neck down."

His arm moves at the end.

  • See how awesome is this treatment now?!

  • ...."almost entirely"

    heh.

  • Quadriplegia/Tetraplegia is defined as some (not necessarily total) loss of function & or sensation in all 4 limbs.

  • lol once they were done he starting moving and stretched or something.

  • imagine the benefits of people in a wheel chairs that will bring!!! soooo cool!!!

  • This isn't your video!

  • he should be playing quake

  • wow... interesting

  • cool!

  • it would be more amazing if it had SOUND!

  • its amazing :)

  • That's awesome!

  • no dumbass not fake

  • Fantastic!

  • This is amazing!
