Actually no, dear 4Sharla, You pay your money to a 15-man gerontocracy in Salt Lake City who use your money to build a multi-billion dollar shopping complex, hotels & resorts in Hawaii, vast tracts of farm and ranch lands, massive telecommunication companies, etc.

Meanwhile, at the local level, your janitors have been fired and you & your fellow Mormons are given callings inspired by God to clean the toilets in your local ward house.

@Ingle92protege We pay our tithing to pay the one who created us. What they do with it is not our choice. And as long as we fallow him we are well. The only way to pay Our Heavenly Father is through tithing and service. But we must pay our tithing faithfully. I have received many of blessings in return. And no other will change my mind about the way I feel about the church. I have been a member for over 20 years. And every lesson is a new journey.

@Ingle92protege We all have different opinions and that is fine, but it truly is sad that you would say such untrue and sad things about President Monson. He has never claimed to be anything, nor claimed the right to do anything but the best human being that he can be. He has personally touched the loves of millions of people for the better. I hope you are doing the same. And if you can accomplish something so great, than good for you

At around 0.34, Monson is dressed in White, and his wife is not. I guess just Monson is "pure", while his wife isn't..

Monson, dat old dog, schmoozed with dictator (Erich Hoenecker), back in da mid-1980s (before da Berlin Wall fell). That is the part I remember, about that old dog, Monson.

(And, how Monson quoted their (#12) Article of Faith, kissing up to Hoenecker, by saying that all good little morms know what it is like to be "under authority". Yes, they do, Tommy Me-Boy!)

@4Sharla, I see that Monson is prophet, seer and revelator. Can you tell me what he has prophesied, foreseen or revealed lately? Did he foresee the recent Japan earthquake and subsequent tsunami? Did he warn the people in Christchurch, NZ?

@LisaPie81 Why yes God is the Center of our Church. We do not worship the prophet we fallow the prophet. He receives revelation from God him self. And the words that he speaks are words of wisdom.
