  • self defense training system is more better. its remove the threat like remove the gun pointing to you and attack the attacker in vulnerable parts. the real danger is the person not the weapon, so dnt mind the weapon. just clear attak attack no disarms needed

  • Anyone found the full episode online?

  • Its from a TV program called 'Spymaster' on discovery channel and went out as five 1 hour programs made around 2005.

The KravMaga part lasted 1 day. But they only showed a small bit, about 15mins, on the program.

  • @stevieboyee

    are you stupid?

  • @rotsebanotman

    What...!

I wasn't talking you rotsebanotman, I was answering the question below from dom252..

    Kindly pay attention.

  • @stevieboyee

    Exactly!

Do you know who made Krav Maga?

Because from your comment, I don't think so...

  • @rotsebanotman

If you read dom252's actual question it has nothing to do with the art of KravMaga per say.

Conversely, he was trying to find out information regarding the TV episode and possibly if and where it might be found online.

The information I offered was exactly that. With no opinions about KravMaga at all.

  • @stevieboyee

    I am sorry.

You were just implying the incorrect fact as to who made krav maga.

  • @rotsebanotman

yes, i see what you mean now.

I was in the series myself and the Krav Maga was very interesting even though we only trained with the instructor for a short while.

I'm the "old boy" with the instructor during the knife strikes...

  • @stevieboyee

    hahah, thats nice :)

    I love krav..

  • Nice!!!

  • Why on the knife did he say part 3 was most dangerous?

  • @knowledgeisthepower1 Because if you get struck on the temple with a metal object with force, it's always a stunner and probably something to knock out anyone. Getting stunned or knocked out means whatever nasty things an attacker wants for you, will happen. That's why it's most dangerous.

Stabbing or slashing causes pain, but as long as nothing vital is hit; you're still concious and able to defend yourself, even if the pain will incapacitate you after a minute or two when the adrenaline fades

  • A person who can really use a firearm will stay at a distance.. krav maga is for close combat, but first lesson in a pistol treath, beg for your life as a distraction of his attention..And if the attacker comes close with a firearm, he wants something and the fact that he did not just shoot you and took what he wanted gives a psychological advantage and shows that he is reasonable and could be talked to, if not... Krav maga has the answer..

  • tak..łapcie za zamek..... bzdura

  • hahah brutha at 50 seconds would have got blasted on, hope they correct the guy. krav maga's secret lesson number 803 for civilian self defense..give the guy your wallet

  • how can this shit help if some1 aiming your head with a sniper riffle and you see the red dot move from your body up in your head??

  • @K1BIGGESTFAN The purpose of Krav Maga (and all forms of close quarters combat) is to fight people who are not using sniper rifles from long distances. Indeed that is why it is called 'close quarters'. If you are really worries about snipers, then take a course in counter-sniper tactics from the marines or the army. However take note that you are far more likely to deal with an assailant with a knife than one with a sniper rifle.

  • Krav Maga and Wing Chun put together would be deadly!!!!!!!!!

  • thats some hideous wallpaper

  • Free energy can change the world! But the big oil corporations don't want that technology revealed,Get a real free energy motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Start the energy revolution!

  • @faerydhhlo FUCK YOU!

  • @Jerryx2000 I'm pretty sure Jews that knew how to fight would still not have been a match for Nazi Germany.

  • Never get back in the line of fire of the gun. Disarm or control the weapon first. Lock your arm after blading your body away, and then after the weapon is controlled disarm in a manner that keeps your body far away. Best way, in my personal opinion (in a front attack) is a knee stomp/leg stomp. Effective, fast, and extremely hard to defend against when the opponent is focused on his gun.

  • 2.30 - Bollocks. She's deluding herself.

  • @JoeTheAnarchist I think what she means is she can defend herself BETTER. And if she has confidence, it's important, because she's less likely to freeze up or hesitate during an attack. I don't think what she's saying is bollocks at all. Being able to deal with fear is a big step.

  • Krav Maga is a small part of the IDF. Most soldiers use their guns or other weapons first and Krav Maga last.

  • @clearcombat in the assault on the Turkish ship. IDF shot the enemy

  • This is so odd, the techniques they use and talk about I learned nearly 20 years ago from my TKD Instructor. He stressed on survival a lot, had us spar in the dark, taught what to do if we find ourselves in a situation where some one is shooting into a crowd. He always said the rule of a street fight is "The last one breathing wins."

  • For Krav Maga, and all other bullshits :

You invented nothing, all your techniques are founded in Jiu Jitsu.

Krav Maga is modern Jiu Jitsu and you call that "a new Israelian defense"

    Thumbs up if you agree

  • @nelse77176

No, Krav Maga is a combination of many different MA's such as Sambo, Ninjutsu and Aikido; in (B)JJ you don't have groin, throat, and eye gouges or point defense while KM does.. Jiu Jitsu is 99% based on takedowns and grappling which makes it nearly useless if you're fighting someone who knows how to sprawl well, so if that same guy also knows Muay Thai or Lethwie you're pretty well f'd while KM was designed to level the playing field in a fight.

  • You surely get killed doing this in real life.. What a load of poo-poo...

  • lol @ 2.45 ooh sorry, she nearly had his eye out

  • thing I like about Krav Maga is the brutality. It's quick and dirty and effective

  • krav maga dosent work its as simple as that.. all people that train it clearly becomes extremly arrogant lol the people in the show suck and wouldnt survive one min i´n a street fight clearly think they can take away a gun pointed at their chest I just say omg ...

  • @JORDHOLMEN - Anyone reading this, ignore this guy. He doesn't know what he's talking about. One of the instructors at the school I trained at is a Sergeant in the Sheriff's office here, and he uses Krav Maga regularly in his police work. His entire squad is required to know it. Doesn't work, huh? Ask any of the MANY police precincts that train in Krav Maga if it doesn't work, and they'll laugh you down.

  • @nordyj2001 lol the police dont need to use krav maga .they use guns =D

  • @JORDHOLMEN - Right. They have guns. They also don't pull their guns out for every encounter, and not at all if they can help it. If you have cops in your area that are whipping out the gun just for getting pushed, then you have deeper issues in your area.

  • @nordyj2001 dude the cops usually outnumber the enemy by 2 to 1. no need to use any complicated krav maga wrist locks. lol you only need to force the fucker down because hes outnumbered right? and if a policeman is in a life or death situation he pulls out his gun immediately . again no need for any krav maga bullshit moves with knife disarming and so on.

  • @nordyj2001 and one more thing we dont see any krav maga practiciner in mma do we? no! krav maga dosent work in a none scriptured fight

  • @JORDHOLMEN - You're clearly one of those people that think MMA is the end all and be all of martial arts. MMA is not a real street fight, either. It still has rules, a referee, a time limit. You don't see Kali in MMA either. Or Jeet Kun Do. Or many other arts that have been proven effective. There is no such thing as a "perfect" martial art, and to think that "if it doesn't exist in MMA, then it's useless" is foolish. Again, ask any officer or soldier trained in KM if it's useless.

  • @nordyj2001 well im sorry but i think that a fight cant be prepared in any manor and that makes every scriptured thing like, you attack me with a stupid knife attack and i run right into the dagger and then do a wrist lock, after having stopped your hand, kicking you in the nuts and then hit your eyes twice . we dont see that in any mma i know that eye strikes and nut strikes cant be done in mma but there must be more scriptured moves that we can you use in mma but we sadly dont see any.

  • @JORDHOLMEN - The scripted stuff is only what you see in demo's. In class, we run through some, yes, to get the basic muscle memory down. But we spend the same amount of time, if not more, working unscripted scenario's. I've got 4 guys surrounding me, doing whatever they want, and I have to get out, unscripted, using only what I know, and what comes as instinct. Krav teaches muscle memory, but it equally teaches thinking on your toes, and being resourceful.

  • @JORDHOLMEN - And as was mentioned by Barnabas, it was invented by a guy who had survived war, and fought as a soldier. I don't think he, or those he taught, saw it as useless, since they used it to survive on a daily basis.

  • fuck

  • What i can say is look up systema its mach more effective

  • An attacker would have to be pretty dumb to be threatening you with a gun within arms reach.

But even if that were the case, and you grab the gun, what happens when it goes off and the slide fucks your hand up?

  • @bull068

u have to be really fast u have to act in a split of second

it takes a lots of practice..

  • @Kaaashoofd You could be Bruce Lee, and the gun could and probably would still go off when you grab it and pull it forward. Wouldn't it be a better idea to grab the back of the wrist instead? Seems to me that it would provide a better surface to get a more secure grip, and you wouldn't have to deal with the slide if it went off.

  • @bull068 An attacker would have to be pretty dumb to point a gun at anyone. By definition criminals aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.

  • @Pantslessbob watch gang land and see all the crazy things inmates come up with... you will take back that criminals arent the smartest people. there literally evil genius's

  • @DragonZord90 I haven't read this whole thread, I wont waste my time. However I doubt anyone is saying Krav Maga is the best martial art out there. However, Krav Maga is a great military utilitarian martial art. Karate and Shaolin Kung Fu are hard core, and yes you can fuck people up fast, but that is not their intent anymore. They were developed as ancient fighting techniques. They are not used for modern military applications the way Krav Maga and SAS self defense methods are used.

  • You couldn't teach anyone anything. You are just a tryhard who proclaims himself some Messiah of martial arts over the majority of armed forces' combatives programmes.

  • OHHH I see the real reason that you're pissed about Krav Magá and think you're a self-defence expert. You play a lot of fighting gaaames. All is clear now.

  • LOL you consider YOURSELF a self defense expert?

Also, you've completely missed the point of Krav Magá, it's basically the most efficient of various other martial arts. No one claims it to be a cutting edge new art. It's simply how to fuck people up fast.

  • I hear a lot of people have done a lot of research. You've never actually done anything, have you?

  • KM is gettin much more popular, heard they put KM in the new splinter cell video game

  • el giro de la cadera es fundamental en este ejercicio

  • we can use this against american troops

  • @blackbelttt damn muslim scum

  • @AnglarnaGoteborg I'm not muslim

    the world hates americans

    you know that!

american are stupid and they have to die

  • LOL!! So now Krav Maga is based on physics & mathemaitcs?

IDK that Lmi Lichtenfeld was a mathematician.

  • @Kinghercules Comment of the year KingHercules. Krav Maga has the best marketing skills in the world that's for sure.

  • why are ppl dumbing me down the dude next to him really was died at 2.02 if it was really you cant say im wrong now

  • damn at 1.02 that other dude standing next to him was dead if it was a real situation :P

  • who would put a gun in someomes face rather than draw back

  • an untrained thug

  • Who has a gun can be at any distance. It can work but are unlikely situation

  • @fusoperso

KM is meant for close quarters... obviously if the guy's at 10+ feet you're not going to disarm him before he shoots you.

  • @fusoperso

Because that its named Krav maga,

    In hebrew,Krav Maga means

    Contact Fight.

  • @xEden1 I did not know the meaning of the name. thanks.

  • @fusoperso Well there's not really much to do, regardless of the self defence techniques you use.

  • @fusoperso Well my instructor told me by learning Krav Maga you're not gonna be god, so if he's gonna kill you from far, then good luck to you, but if dealing against someone who just want to taunt you or want to rob you, he has to be close to get the money from you right? reaching out his hand and opening his palm?

  • @HugeDeek but risking a bullet in the head for the fucking money is absurd. The technique works always in training because they had to work, but in a real situation, it might work but most likely fail.

  • @fusoperso Yep, we are told to give up your money if it involve risking your life. What will you do if the guy insist on killing you no matter what you offer? Well this might not work 100% of the time but it's your best bet to see your family again the next day.

  • @fusoperso according to my real life training in the Marines...it WORKS!

  • @fusoperso Still it is better to know how to defend yourself at this distance than at none.

  • no prob mate. i am indeed a dedicated practitioner

  • zig zag and run is actually the most dangerous thing to do,because you give everyone with a basic aim a change to shoot you. this move, from a gun threath, redirects the line of fire

  • ziz zag run is taught to the british military...what else do you suggest??

It does work, what are you on about basic aim?

At 600m the bullet may take a seocnd to reach the target and in that time a running human can have moved 3-5m.

  • im talking about zig and run from a close positon. afcourse not a couple of meters away, then it would be impossible to disarm the gun then the only you can do is indeed zig zag and run,but its still very, very dangerous and only a very last resort

  • well, the first resort is to just give the money.

Obv running away while they are still armed with a gun, a couple of meters away is ridiculous.

  • 1:13 thats not very good teacher, he could have broke that guys finger with that gun.

  • What saved him was what looked to be like a straight trigger finger. As far as a good instructor, little things like that happen even with the best instructors. I call it lessons in pain management... :-)

Some of the best past and present instructors\masters\founders in the world have had their clocks cleaned which in turn made them better fighters and teachers.

  • Thats so true... This is to be used only when there is no other way...

  • When did this aired on Discovery channel? whats the name of it?? Would love to see entire program.

  • you're stupid, the founder of krav maga was Imi Lichtenfeld who was a Jewish guy . He lived in Hungary, and he was frequently attacked by young nazi gangs, and he learned many several types of martial arts to defend himself, and after it he emigrated to Israel before the second world war, and started to create the self defence system: Krav Maga, its not about agression, its about how to defend yourself against agressive attackers. yap and no one killed his family its fake

  • almost right. he was already skilled in boxing, weightlifting and wrestling before the nazi gang attacks. but he joined a group of men with the same abilities to defend the jewish people, and from that sreet experience and his former martial arts training he developed krav maga. thats why a style like boxing has left so much marks in krav maga.

  • @BarnabasFolk92: wrong, he lived in Czechoslovakia you dickhead! the rest is right

  • @DendA1911 You are the dickhead, he was hungarian and he lived in Bratislava (Pozsony) and it was a hungarian city before trianon so shut up!

  • @BarnabasFolk92: wrong, it WAS czechoslovakia before WW2!

  • @BarnabasFolk92: oh sorry, i didnt notice the word trianon, you are true at that :-)

  • @BarnabasFolk92 Hurr durr Krav Magá is an aggressive form of self-defence. If you disbelieve that, you probably do not actually do it and instead sit and talk about it as if you know about it.

  • @BarnabasFolk92 I wish all the jews knew this so they could have defended themselves from the GERMANS! Even today!

  • @BarnabasFolk92: Just a minor correction. Lichtenfeld lived in Bratislava (Slovakia) and not in Hungary as you mentioned.

  • Wikipedia taught you everything you know about Krav Maga, huh? xD

  • no,practitioning did

  • ouch the student shouldve kept his finger off the trigger cuz one move traps the finger and breaks it

  • if its kill or be killed, is it spying?

  • nope that is wrong- i hit the gym all the time, lift weights- all that stuff- my muscles don't mean shit when i fight my out of shape uncle who has just enough street smarts, and fighting experience to just kick my ass and put me on the floor. i love getting ripped, i have 6 pack- all that stuff- it looks great- but thats ALL it is, it has no practical use whatsoever.

  • shouldnt turn ur head away from the enemy.

  • Yeah, it's wrong to hurt a training mate.

I will never hurt anyone during training.

I'll only do full contacts if my partner is wearing the appropriate safety gear.

  • wtf the discovery logo is on da right great vid any 1 have full vid ?

  • That instructor took the gun from that guy´s hand with his finger in the trigger guard, If you do that right the move will brake the finger.

  • trust israelis 2 come up with this cool art!

  • this instructor did a bad thing by hurting his student. lacking dicipline maybe for sake of the camera and ego

  • i understand what your saying but in the class that im taught in, we go a reasonbly hard at each other obviously if someone doesnt want to go as hard we dont, but the more realistic the training the better you will end up if the situation arises, we are also taught to do the gun/knife/baseball bats, defenses as last resort, if you can get out of there thats always the best option

  • Sometimes, instructors do this to make u remember what not to do... I still have a pain in a muscle, ouch, but I will never forget what that move taught me not to do that day... Most instructors know how hard they can do this... and its true that the more realistic, the better, this is not for fun, is for real fight...

  • Come TO Israel To Haifa City Were We Practice ,but its a real nice vid

  • Where is the full video?

I need the full documentary pls

  • people with guns dont let you get close to them. As soon as you start walking towards them bam they shoot you.

  • that's right I agree with U

  • yeah but alotta times they come up close if its crowded and they don want anyone to see or something like that. plus if they are far away just make sure u have your concealed pistol and shoot them back ;)

  • If that were true, then the gun defenses would be useless, but as a matter of fact, common street attackers routinely get close with their guns, because they feel safe (and usually are safe) doing so.

  • exactly and most street attackers dont think there robbery/attack through and so they go up close to take your things or do there thing without expecting retaliation...if they took into consideration that someone might fight back and be better, they would stand farther away

  • besides that, its not their priority to shoot you. if that was the case, they would have shot you already, from a distance probaly. somethings you cant defend yourself. but this are gun threaths, and a threath has an other goal, which is participation in whatever they want. be it money, rape, whatever. to get your money they need to stand close to you. to rape, well i dont have to tell thats impossible from a distance. they only will acutally use the gun as a last resort, and maybe even then not

  • the traning is diffrent from what you say if some one come from your back or if some one point the gun to you from close range most of the time people don't want to make noice befor they robbin you or somthing like that so they go on close quarter which allow you to use that teq

  • nice dream

  • The butt of the knife is supposed to be the most dangerous part of the knife? Hmm, I wonder what Eyal taught P.Kaddouch, that he didn't teach anybody else...

  • Lol 2:44. -Stab In Eye- "Oops sorry."

  • Yep. Julie Chammings has passed her Krav Maga course.

    YEOTCH!

  • hahah what a fucking language is this in the subs??? thats funny "tällä tulla ukra dubba bulla gülülü" LOOOOL

  • It´s Finnish.

  • hes coming to our school tmrw

  • Coool finnish texts :D:D

  • All our gun training is done with paint ball guns... that way, the aggressor can shoot if the person executing the technique is too slow. We also train with painted knifes and cut our opponent if they are sloppy or too slow.

The more realistic you make your training the better your learning experience.

  • Very nice. Effective.

    Thanks for this video.

  • ok first of all tae kwan do is a marsial arts it is from korea which is one of the main marsial arts and there type of tae kwan do is better than amarican nized type because my grandad was over there in the army and they trained him in it and let me tell you a ten year old girl was a black belt and she could take down two or three solders

  • tae kwon do. martial arts. american. americanised. soldiers. your welcome :)

  • why women should take these classes 2:40

    could have blinded him

  • I don't know about that, this martial arts is used by the Israeli army and special forces, who deal with hostile enemy attacks daily.

This is probably the best martial arts designed for self defense.

  • The best self defence is comman sense

  • i want to know what will do ur common sense with a shotgun in ur ass

  • About the same with your daddy dick up your ass. Please! dude what the fuck are you trying to say?

  • I think he's trying to tell everyone that his uncle buggered him when he was early in his teens. And he wants the whole world to know how badly effected he still is from his uncle's butt-plugging. Besides that message, he's got really nothing else to say

  • The ones that have a problem with Israel have absolutely no problems with American troops in South Korea that effectively provide SK free protection while tolerating anti-American protests at the same time.

A "pox on both their houses" policy would continue the cycle of violence, get more people killed, and all because some people don't like Israelis defending their nation with their own soldiers but have no problems subsidizing nations like South Korea, Germany, Italy, and so forth.

  • anyone know where i can find the whole series?

  • damn, i wanna see the episode with the real pro commando's who have this reaction of I dunno how fast, that was just amazing, these guys are amateurs ;P

  • systema its best

  • sysrema is invented for money.Spetznaz using combat sambo.

  • Let me get this straight. This is a televised show about SPIES training to go BEHIND enemy lines.

    Isn't that kinda counter productive>

  • no, it's these kinda people that train the spies, these guys certainly aren't spies

  • FIRST YOU had better be SAVED and prepared for HEAVEN! I am a big fan of this Martial Art...because it is one of the few "striking" arts that REALLY work and WORKS GREAT!Me personally...I would hate to be in a situation like that. However, knowing myself.I would (at close range)attempt to take the gun away and then UTTERLY DESTROY the attacker, in hopes to TEACH HIM,IT OR HER a lesson.a lesson, that would hopefully retire their FOOLISH Criminal activity. Stay safe everyone!Happy coming holidays

  • it's too easy and too complicated at the same time... why not to do whatever the criminal wants? If I defend myself I could be murdered? What would I do when I got the weapon?... damn, better not to be in confrontations.

  • b/c when dealing with people who don't care if they die themselves (muslims) you don't have any choice but learn to defend yourself or at least try.

  • You really are from the lower end of the gene pool kyle50216... do us all a favor and get yourself neutered

  • 99.9% of people would be shot trying this...no skilled attacker holds his weapon within your reach.

  • lol ya cause this doesnt work for israelis special forces or other us and law enforcement units that use these techniques lol oh wait it does thats why theyre using it lol if you have any idea what your talking about im sure youd know this im pretty sure you have never even been in a violent confrontation with weapons

  • It is used specifically for close quarters confrontations, obviously at a distance you never stand a chance against a longshot. A lot of people like to gun-tote or intimidate with weapons to try and come out ontop, so yes, in a sense you are right, a "skilled" attacker wouldn't hold a gun within reach, still handy to know in case it happens though, right?

  • fuck you tripleleo

  • the tail that wags our dog?

You do realise that makes no sense.

  • Israel is a tiny insignifigant country of no real value to us, yet we give her a disproportionate amount of time, money, sweat and tears to her. We fund her in various ways, and yet we act (and people accept as fact) that we are in some way beholden to her.

The tiny payee Israel (the tail) influences and practically dictates the foreign policy of a gift giving large nation (the Dog): The united States.

  • The myth is that Israel is somehow a 'buffer nation' that guards and protects our interests in a volatile Mid East.

IMO, the reality is that Israel is a drain on us. Fine, accept our money, BUT fall into line. These sentiments are directed at the hard line settler types and the elements that play victim re th epalesintians while silently at times provoking them and denying their rights.

  • If you had a friend that was always asking for money, picking fights and then hiding behind you, and very rarely did you any favours or acted in your interest, you'd be intelligent to give em a stern lecture, establish some firm boundries etc..., and then , if they didn't comply, drop them and never look back.

  • We have busted a number of Isreali spies and locked them up, and Isreal has asked us to 'go easy' on them etc... That takes a lot of nerve.

Also, google search "USS Liberty" and you'll learn a bit more

  • Sorry i still think your'e talking shit.

  • That's unfortunate, but could you tell me more?

In what way? Can you dispute what I'm saying?

  • Well i'm not Israel, i know very little about Israel, but what you're doing is just purring out hatred from your mouth, thats not right is it?

I'd be happy if you told me your motives.

  • See Joe, this is the problem:

Anyone who dislikes Israeli policy and wants the US to either sever or re-define ties with Israel is labeled anti-semetic. It's BS and is an effective way to get people to shut up about how they feel about Israel the country.

It's very sneaky and is BS. One of my 3 op friends is Jewish, and I wont share these thoughts with him cause he like a lot of people have been conditioned to equate suspicsion of Israel with anti-semitism.

  • get a fuckin life

  • I believe that Israel is an economic and foreign policy dead weight that drags our nation down. We do a lot for her, and what does she do for us? Seriously, ask yourself: how does our relationship with Israel better our country and benefit it?
